My story starts a few months before the purchase of my Camaro. My husband already had a 5th gen Camaro for a little while. I had been looking for my own muscle car for a little bit. I'm not a big fan of Mustangs (don't hate them, just not in love with them) and I already owned a Challenger that I was ready to trade in. I drove his Camaro a few times and thought it might be a good idea for me to have my own Camaro.

The Challenger was traded for my Synergy Green SS/RS Camaro in Feb of 2011. I knew it was meant to be when I found a V8, brand spanking new (had 55 miles on it) and it was relatively close to me.

Interior

• dye stitching green
• shifter adapter (MGW)
• custom shift knob (Epco.com)

• changed all interior LEDs except HUD
• changed ABL lighting to green
• added green LED to door handle
• added green LED strips to door sills

• had dash ABL, but I took it out

• DT shortie headers until the warranty was up, then upgraded to Stainless Works long tubes & got a tune (ADM Performance)
• SLP PowerFlow axle back exhaust
• VaraRam cold air intake
• VaraRam power wedge
• BC Racing coilovers & lowered 1"

• quarter window decals

My very first mod was painting the tail light bezels black. I didn't really like the chrome, and have since painted/replaced everything that was chrome.

I used some fabric markers from Michael's to dye the stitching green. Later, I found a different green that I liked better and redyed everything.

Thanks to Camaro5 for the idea, or else, I would have never even thought about this.

Lastly, I've taken the chromed 'Camaro' fender emblems off and replaced them with the black script logos.

I have more things definitely planned to do. So far, everything I want is mostly cosmetic, like blacking out or darkening the lights (all except the headlights), getting some side stripes and gills, getting a painted bowtie from Gary's Customs, then sending it to AAC to illuminate it.

There are things in the maybe list, having the ABL go across the dash in addition to the doors, making the ABL green, changing the passenger seat adjuster, adding a glove box light, changing the shift knob and possibly deleting the gauge pod. These are all in the maybe list though. Some might not ever come to pass. I'll just have to wait and see.

So many mods, so little money! lol

It's not a hard plastic, though. more akin to thick rubber, though I honestly don't know what it's really made of. I like the looks of it though.

Hubby wants me to put some SS's under the script, but, eh.. I'm not so sure.

Got a couple of things completed over the weekend. When I picked up the car from the dealer, there was a very obvious paint chip in the hood. And, when doing the tail light bezels, I scratched the paint near the tail light. Lynn Smith collision center properly fixed the hood, and offered to use touchup paint for free near the tail light. They did a fantastic job.
