Can anyone confirm that California state senator Ellen Corbett who, at the behest of the tree huggers, is pushing legislation to make forced induction engines illegal? Aparently the justification is to eliminate the unnecessary, over utilization of oxygen (no, I'm not kidding).

yah, even if that really is happening, I don't see that going anywhere. Every major manufacturer that has FI applications would have a say in that. Curious how they would address that angle.

Yea, it sounds crazy to me too, but nothing coming out of CA surprises me any more.

Commiefornia Blows!! I hate this state!

I doubt that moron has a clue as to the ability to get lower emissions out of a FI engine and be able to get better mpg either.

It won't pass, but it doesn't hurt to contact elected officials and repeatedly tell them that you'd appreciate their vote against this legislation. Ask nicely.

Looks like a complete myth. Google turns up nothing about Ellen Corbett and Forced Induction, nor anything about new laws in California regarding Forced Induction. She appears to be an advocate of standard California emissions testing, but nothing too loopy.

i wish california would fall off the face of the earth. forced induction and horse power is bad but selling and smoking weed is good. something seems wrong here.

Sure, lets all ban a mod to a car that every one of us strives to have tuned to the max on efficiency in the engine and not be overly wasteful or otherwise risk our own engine's life... But, we'll let total clunkers drive about spewing forth all manner of exhaust funk in to the air, getting horrible gas mileage and being just a total POS.

There are plenty of lifeforms on this planet that live off of CO2 and other emissions..
