The point is this car is fresh and strikingly beautiful to the point where it has completely owned the Mustang and by the numbers has won more fans than the Mustang.

If the next generation Camaro is as good as this one it will out sell the mustang gain.

The even bigger point is that the Camaro is now KING and the Mustang must now play catch up. Just accept it man and like I said maybe you guys will win it back next round, but this one is ours
So... Arriving 5 years late to a fight after leaving production, currently cannot hold a candle to the Mustang on a road course and most strips, outselling the Mustang by 8000 cars for the first time in 24 years and currently have a sales trend similar to the 7 year old S197 is all it takes to win a round?

After that resume, you guys need it more than Ford does...

Maybe we will see a Grand Finale, Motor Trend intends to take the Boss 302 LS against the ZL1 on a road course... better not let 444hp win, if thats what it's really putting to the wheels .

Fresh cars will always sell better (you would hope)..

haha youre such a damn fanboy I dont even know why youre on this forum.

Please tell me you have the intellectual capacity to understand that the performance factor of the cars isnt entirely what determines which car will sell better?

A couple tenths faster is not enough margin to steer most people away from buying one car versus another.

After what youve typed I think someone is just upset Camaro is now KING.

And the best part...

wait for it...

THE NUMBERS DONT LIE!
Camaro is now king and the numbers back it up, I dont even need to say anything else.

Well, now....aren't you playing the part of a pretty little fanboy today....

Camaro was late to a party that nobody was at. And Ford was a sucky host...they certainly did nothing to excite its enthusiasts for the 7 years it had no Camaro to compete against. And the worst part is...the 2002 SS could still spank the plastic off of a 2009 Mustang GT....mmm....resumes...self-improvement....riiiight.

Finally there's an opening and Chevy takes it...the LT embarrasses that poor little V6 Mustang by raising the bar for V6 pony cars...way higher than anyone expected. And the SS just BLOWS THE CRAP out of the Mustang GT and forces the GT500 to sweat it's scaley head trying to stay out front....it offers some technology and performance features standard that Ford still only offers optional, and this forces the Mustang to finally wake up.

Sure, Dearborn answered...but who's the leader in this dance, again?

The icing on the cake is that Camaro is still outselling the Mustang despite a steep uphill battle against more models, larger incentives, and what was supposed to be a solid reputation....

And now the ZL1s about to be released ...don't place too much money on the Boss's chances. But of course...it's cheaper so it'll get points for that...

Will the Mustang be redesigned first? Sure. They've had a head start in this race since 2003, but only now decided to start running...because they have to. The Mustang has an edge on Camaro in performance right now...only an edge; it's so close that one pothole spells the difference between a win or a loss.

Ford has a lot to live up to if it intends to steal the spotlight away from America's favorite pony car....always keeping in mind, our friends are certainly not comatose in the Renaissance Center...

♫ ♫"whatever you can do, I can do better...I can do anything better than you...." ♫ ♫
(I'm doing a lot of singing today)
And of course the invisible disclaimer is that this is nothing more than playful banter. I like both cars, and my favorite is Camaro - it still would be even if it were not outselling the 'Stang...I'm just enjoying every bit of this performance resurgence.

I have to ask this....

Don't you Ford lovers have Ford websites to hang around on?

I have never, nor will ever joined or posted on a Mustang forum.

Why do so many of you have the fixation to post here on a 5th Gen Camaro website?

All those months that GM advertised they had paid back their loans in full was a complete lie. The only reason I bought my Camaro was because I love the car, not the company.

GM was not bankrupt at that time, they were losing money at a rapid rate, but they were not bankrupt. Ford was, by all financial indicators, further down that hole than GM was but they used a fire sale of most it's assets and also secured loans from the banks before the banks became toxic. By the time GM needed help from the banks it was too late for them due to the banking crisis. Ford did also receive loans from the gov't, like GM, Chrysler, Nissan and a whole host of manufacturers who produce cars in the U.S. which is totally different from the gov't providing cash loans in exchange for shares in the company(bailout loan). GM has paid back their loan (non bailout loan) early and the gov't has received some of it's cash back from the bailout loan thru the recent stock sale of the new gm when it went public again.

So I guess the longer a lie is told, some people start to believe that the lie must somehow be the truth.

Editors are putting the Boss 302 LS at 1:40 at Laguna Seca, 2 seconds faster than the M3, 3 seconds faster than the CTS-V and GT500 and even with the Z06...

I know, I am enjoying this too... Remember, it was a Camaro that ended my road racing career...

I am beginning to think that there may not be a GT500 or SVT in 2013...

What about unsold mustangs and challengers? Here in Hawaii I have seen quite a few mustangs and challengers on our sales lot but when I went to my nearest chevy dealer and there were no camaros. not sure about the dealer on the other side of the island. I just think all brands have leftovers, maybe they should show total unsold vehicle comparisons. Just sayin.

Flat Rock produced almost 78,000 Mustangs in 2010 and sold 73,000 and some change. Not sure about the Challenger but production numbers are no where near the Mustangs, maybe 50,000 a year.

Here is a picture of my ass being handed to me in a straight line, In Germany...
