For the love of God, how do I get the fuel line disconnect tool to work??
My God, this is becoming personal. I pushed, pulled, twisted and done combos of each and that little light blue POS isn't doing its job.
Any tips? |

Press the 2 lines together, then place the tool inline and as you slide it under the lip twist it to ensure to release all the retainers within the connector.
Keep the continuous pressure of the two lines together until you have done the above then they will pull apart easily. Pat

I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I even had my son help. I focused on squeezing the parts together and all he had to do was pull on the line. Still can't get it... |

My immediate guess is one of the flat metal retainers inside the female end is damaged and causing you this head ache. Wish I were there. 15 seconds. Sorry brother.

The trick is you HAVE to release the pressure of the inside retainers inside the female end from being in contact with the flar on the male end. REALY get aggressive with pressing the two lines together before trying to release the ratiner flaps in the female end.

It will come off even it the tips are slightly damaged. it is all in the retainers being in contact with the flar. Also get really aggressive with the tool when trying to release the retainers.
Flying right now or I could post a picture of the inside of the line so that you could see exactly what you're trying to release which could aid you in understanding the issue that is stopping you.

Did you get the gas out of the line, pressure in the line will not let you press the 2 lines in.

As best I remember the fuel line uses the 3/8 inch release tool.
