Too funny! I rode my Ducati to work last Friday. That very same Pinellas Park Smart car was behind me on 49th St. If he would have tried to stop my on bike....I was gonna drop two when I saw the red and blue! I have to drive to accounts now and then. The SS isnt gonna work if gas continues to rise. |

Especially since it's not too "smart" on gas. Smart cars were never cheap to begin with; so when you pit them against regular sized economy cars of yesteryear that can still achieve 35+mpg (that often include more features), the Smart car is an illogical choice and a horrible value. It's rated well in crash tests, but notice the testing methodology and all the fine print. It only does well when it collides with other micro cars or with fixed objects at relatively low speeds. Vehicles with more mass held to the same crash standards will always win. ALWAYS. |

since it's either i continue to drive it to work or take my wife's car and she uses the Camaro whenever she needs to go anywhere, i'll continue to drive it to work. i don't have any other choice. thankfully i live 6 miles from work and will soon be 3 miles from work when we move in the next 3-4 months.
i have considered getting a motorcycle though to take to work and back when it's not raining, which is a majority of the time. plus, i can cut through traffic and get home faster. i'm only 6 miles, but sometimes it takes me 45 min to 1 hour because of all the damn people and traffic.

I will continue to drive my SS. I'm 8 miles from work, and if I'm not too heavy on the petal, I can get around 22mpg. On the weekends for going out and about, my girl will drive her car.

I basically use my SS as a daily driver, have kept it parked for about a month though with this awful weather in NY. But I'm considering buying another small car to beat on that gets some good gas mileage this summer if prices go up =/ we'll see though, dont know if I could stop driving this thing haha

My camaro is my only car so it's my daily driver so no matter what I'll be driving it no matter how much gas costs.

If you adjust for inflation, gas cost more in 1979 and 1980 than it does now. We all just get paid more now!!
I keep bitching about the prices then I looked it up for kicks the other night. It shut me right up. |

I just filled up my LS3 tonite and I went 323.7 miles on 15.031 gallons which is 21.5 mpg. That was a mix of about 50/50 hwy and city driving. I can live with that!
