1 year driving 21,00mi
seen ice, sleet, snow, rain, wind I would recomend that everyone who has one drives it. What happens when the whole middle east goes muslin bananas ? Which is VERY likely. gas could easily go 6-7$ a gallon given: 1 Middle East revolution gone wrong + 1 Hurricane in the Gulf The US has no option but to pay it. I am getting my miles in now. Part of me is curious about the Volt. I dunno. How long can this continue ? The end can be near or far away , who knows ?

My 1SS is a dailh driver. I've had it a little over a year and I'm close to 35K on it. I guess if gas gets too high, I'll just use my motorcycle more.

Please stop the panicing. Jeezus.
I drive 30 miles a day at 15 mpg = 2 gallons x $3.80ea = $7.60 / day. If the price of gas doubles to $7.60/gal and I don't adjust my driving habits, then my cost goes up $7.60 a day, or about $200 extra a month. I could brown bag my lunches and make up the difference easily. Not a game changer, and I won't be dumping my LS3 on a freaked out car market. I would lose a lot more than $200 a month. But in the long run, the depreciation of a collapsed muscle car market will take its toll when I (try to) sell it. It would be cheaper to keep the Camaro for 20 years and drive a sub compact to work than to dump the Camaro. On the plus side, with fewer people buying big V8's, will mean ours get rarer.

Mine's a daily driver, too. Only thing that'll change for me is not as much Starbucks or eating out or getting other non-essential items.
I never understood those that see it fit to purchase another car to save gas. Maybe if the car was $1000 or less? But to spend several thousand to save $1.00 per gallon is ridiculous. At least in my opinion.

DD for me. I am 3.5 miles from the office so gas prices don't concern me. The thrill of driving it daily outways the paranoia of a daily driver. I am just cautious about where I park mostly. Plus if needed, we can take my wife's Trailblazer so I am not forced to drive the beast everywhere. Especially if rain is coming
. So I guess I am a daily driver with options.
