Does anyone know how to remove the Foot Rest / Dead Pedal on the drivers side? I want to install new foot pedals but I do not want to put several holes in the foot rest to install. Not sure if I would leave them on for the life of the car. I would like to remove the plastic foot rest, install my new pedal and then I could put the original cover back on if I decide I want to change or go back to original.. Anyone removed theirs?

I would have to go out and look at my car....but I believe the plactic one is molded into the cars carpet, just like the part of the floor below the brake/clutch and where you foot rests by the gas.

Ever noticed that it's too close to the clutch pedal?
Needs to be about 1 inch further to the left.

My foot gets all tangled in the clutch pedal if I want to get it out of there in a hurry.

It's attached to the other half of the dead pedal through the carpet. If you pull back the carpet the HUGE plastic block comes with it. Yes it is deep in the corner.

My 2010 SS RS LS3 has a two part foot rest / dead pedal. There is a base assembly that attaches to the floor and the foot rest that attaches to the base assembly. The foot rest will "SNAP" into the base pedal. I was told that if you want to replace the original foot rest, you will have to force the pedal off which will break the tabs that holds the pedal on. I am attaching a picture of both the base and the foot rest.
I was also told that there is more than one type of foot rest for the Camaro's. This will not apply to ALL Camaros

that sucks for you ! i did mine exactly like "camaro 21". have you thought about heavy-duty velcro.it'll definitely stay put with that stuff.home depot or lowes has it .

I got a set from Performance Pedals.

The gas and dead pedal screw into the existing pedels and the clutch and brake bolt threw and attach with brackets.
