Low end torque on my Whipple is pretty impressive as well. According to my dynograph at 2k rpms I am already hitting 500 ft/lbs of torque, and it pulls all the way through the range from there.

The E-Force is heavy as hell unfortunately.
The E-force looks like a Engine cover. Without it saying "Supercharger" on it, 99.9% of everyone who looked under your hood wouldn't think anything of it.

I've got the E-Force on my Vette and I love it, BUT, if I had a Camaro, I'd get the Whipple

I have yet to test the E-Force on a Camaro but the whipple is simply destroying the KB and Maggy in terms of HP, TQ, efficiency and cooling plus the fit and finish and customer service from whipple cannot be matched.

The smaller blower will make a bit more down low and be a tad more responsive but will choke the motor top end and be limited to somewhat stock engines

according to many dyno sheets i have seen, they say otherwise, ... Whipples numbers for torque and hp are greater throughout the whole RPM range

anyway, right now im leaning more toward whipple, although I am still not sure due to $, so may have to save for... This sure is an interesting debate tho

Here`s an underhood shot, they say pics are worth a thousand words...Lol.. I am working on modifying a set of corvette coil pack covers and then getting them painted.

As far as the low end power of the Eforce, its at rpm`s you really don`t see on the dyno, like right off idle and in the 2k rpm range the smaller blower will spool up quicker, also the Eforce has going for it the longest intake runners of any of the PD blowers. Long intake runner make for more torque right off idle w/ the adverse effect of killing top end high rpm horsepower. If you remember the 80`s (not sure of your age) the 350 Iroc-z had monstrous torque off idle compared to the mustang 5.0 of those same years, due to its xtremely long intake runners. However it died out power wise over 4700rpm. The Mustang 5.0 on the other hand made great power up to 6k rpm, that and a lighter car gave the Camaro fits even though it had a larger engine.

The Whipple will outperform the Edelbrock in my opinion in almost every category except for off idle torque and responsiveness at part throttle on the street. Whipple will make more power, greater expandibilty and will have better track times. So for me and my wants it was Whipple all the way.

I mean a whipple w/ stock pulley, ARH headers w/ cats, magnaflow mufflers, ADM race CAI, tune and a set of stock size drag radials, no other mods, netted me a 10.99@125.40 in an otherwise stock L99. I am very happy w/ my purchase!

So basically what everyone is saying that eforce = more low end torque and throttle responsiveness than the whipple.. but the whipple is better for racing over all?

Since this will be my daily driver and OCCASIONAL track car just for fun (dont really care about having the best lap times, or drag times) it seems like low end torque is most important and more practical...

correct?

He speaks the truth. I researched blowers for a couple of months before finally deciding on the Whipple and I don't regret it one bit. I too have the L99 and it's great as a daily driver and has power throught the power band. I have a cat-back exhaust, CAI, VVT cam, ported heads and the Whipple and I'm at 600RWHP/545RWTQ.

As far as aesthetics go I just didn't care for the looks of the E-Force at all.

The Whipple still has way more torque down low than you can use on the street anyway, just at off idle and around 2k the Edelbrock will have more instant torque.

My car see`s the track about 4 times a year on average.

Thanks Sinister!

I agree. I also researched for months and ended up with the Whipple. I can tell you from experience that you don't want the limitations the E-Force will give you. You may think that you just want a more power for the street, but you never know what you'll want in the future. Why limit your options?

Also, I noticed that you live in Florida. I'm in Texas, and we deal with some crazy heat during the summer. The Whipple comes with a massive heat exchange and a huge coolant reservoir. This gives the Whipple a huge temperature advantage.

So here are some important differences.

Whipple - 2.9L vs Eforce 2.3L (more power than Eforce)

Whipple - Runs cooler than Eforce

Whipple - MSD Electronic BAP included (not included with Eforce)

Whipple - 63LB injectors vs 52lb for Eforce

Whipple - Looks 10X better than Eforce (this is obviously subjective)

I know there are more...that's just what I knew off the top of my head. Please someone correct me if any of my facts are wrong.

Go with the Whipple...you won't be disappointed.

No matter which blower you choose, you will be critically limited by fuel supply and octane. Blower selection is somewhat important but it realy depends on your target goals. The fuel supply & fuel quality is more important because that will be a critical limit before you run out of blower in most cases.

Or just go for the "bigger is better" selection and be done with it.

Pick your tuner with great care and listen to what he says That is the most important of all.

Both fuel and the tune are absolutely important. Exactly why I mentioned the MSD BAP that comes with the Whipple. I wouldn't want a blower on my car using the stock fuel pump.
