Ouch. will have about half that in a stronger block and setup. Pulling it and swapping things myself, but it is not a 5 grand job to do. wow.

The short block is only $3875, what you do for the heads and valve-train is where the rest of the money goes. Our typical 416 long block is about 8500 using your heads and block for a core.

You could get the short block and a complete set of heads cnc ported and no core charge here for around 7665.00:

We do the same. The thing is to use what you have to save money.
You already have the LS3 block so use it and your heads. We offer a 635hp package at $6595 that rivals the supercharger packages at the same price but our engine will take the trashing where the stock engine wont. We put the money into the valve-train and rotating assembly where it needs to go.
Its all relative.

I had the stock heads ported and all the money spend on the this build was some other little thing that just add up to the 10k here are some pics of the heads ported. And if I ever need a motor I will get it from you I here nothing but good things about you.

Yes I am hope it will be ready for the Fest. I think the motor should be ready to go back in next week. But I have one hold up and that is my torque converter I order it about a month ago and I am still waiting for it.
