I had a 1987 Camaro (white) with T-Tops. I really enjoyed taking them heavy things off on warm days... oh the memories...

That's a very good question, t-tops were really sharp looking.

i would rather see a targa top on a 5th gen although where would you put it? the trunk hole is too small which might be the answer to the t top issue

Current Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards make it all but impossible to have T-tops. Roof Crush and Side Impact standards are very difficult to meet today. I can't even imagine the difficulty in having a roof rail airbag with a T-top.

There's seems to be no official GM plans but there are some prototypes around. Make an Image search on Google.

That's what I was thinking too. Can't be a safety issue! If my car flipped I would rather have t-tops with some protection than no protection with a convertible..

The rules exclude convertibles. There wouldn't be convertibles if the same rules applied.
