install HUD in tampa

has anyone done it? im to scared to go cutting my car apart by myself.

Maybe take it to a shop to have it done. Or go to the How-to part of the forum.

Not yet I will be doing mine in April or May I will be doing the install over at a friends shop located in Kissimmee, FL

I don't want to have to pay anyone mate. The labor would be crazy expensive. And I basically read the while DIY thread but the DIY is still sorta incomplete.

Trying to get the HUD parts in now. I might be on my own for this (just a few friends to take direction).

If anyone in the Tampa/Central FL region has done it and wants to help I could use it!!!

LOL as soon as I get the nerve to tear it appart. I think I have the correct wiring harness from Ofer now and I will be testing it soon.

its really not as hard as people make it out to be.

MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO STAY ORGANIZED!!!!!!!

yeah i have done it. it took me more than 10 hours to do but that because i was working very slowly. you dont need to swap a dash btw, the one you have now will work just fine, all you need to do it just cut a hole in the dash.

and if you need help i can help you out mate.

I will likely tap you for some assistance as soon as I get my harness.

I know I don't need to swap dash, but since I landed it for a great price its worth it.

Do you have to get car programmed for it, or does it work as soon as you hook up wires?
