Blacked out tail light

I notice alot of you have blacked out tail lights but how in the world do you drive with them without getting pulled over? I really want to black out my lights since I have a cyber gray but I do not want to get a ticket or become a easy target for the police. I remember having them on my old cars but I never lasted a month with blacked out tails, and one time when I got pulled over the police said I mine as well just write "pull me over" on my windshield if I want to drive with black tail lights.
Maybe its just my state maryland. How do yall do it unless you live somewhere with 10 peoples in your whole city?

did you have vynil tinted lights or painted on?
Ive had mine on for a year and have had no problems with it. Shes been at the Police Division many times and no one ever says anything. I have the vynil blackouts and next to a stock camaro at night, you cant tell the difference. If you paint or spray tint your tails, you can definitly tell at nigth and that would likely get you pulled over. My friend just got pulled over on Saturday for her tinted lights, got a fix it ticket.

night is not the problem, is just daytime when they see that your tail light is black when is suppose to be red.

the blackouts i sell are static cling and perforated vinyl so you're seeing the actual tail light as it shines thru the perforated holes. it's still very bright when lite. you can put them on all 4 lenses in just a couple of minutes with no tools and can also take them off and on as often as you like.

I don't have my 3rd light in my rear window darkened, so it shows up nice and bright red.

Well, there aren't "10 peoples in my whole city," and I have blacked out tail lights.
