Imagine for a second, you go over to a Mustang forum and read a whole bunch of cry babies saying that Magazine ABC is biased toward Camaro - wah wah wah. It's embarrassing.

This is coming from the magazine that named the Volt the car of the year before it really even saw a shred of mass production.

Leguna Seca is MT's test track (being in California and all), but with all the straightaways on that thing, it will be close especially with 600hp, and GM's finest brakes.

It should be so close, no magazines should be making predictions, but the ZL1 will be $10-$15,000 more so I expect nothing less, even an un-fair apples-to-oranges comparison.

Ford does have a supercharged version of their 5.0 fully tested and ready for production. Now that would be a scary BOSS.

I read this back when the article first came out...I just shook my head. They like to run their mouths...and I've got to say when it comes to inconsistency -- MotorTrend's got the trick down perfectly. So I find it difficult to take their "reviews" seriously.


I say let them test it before using their "reputation" to put some weight behind an uneducated guess. It's very unprofessional to say something like this so far ahead of time...and would seem to shine a bright light on this particular writer's very obvious bias.

What's the fascination with a tenth of a second or even half a second.
Both cars will go around the track faster than a 2 door Bentley but I'd still
prefer to be driving the Bentley.

A lot on here would desire just the opposite. To each his own.

(Then again, you could sell the Bentley and buy 2 ZL1s and 2 BOSS's)

Exactly... the ZL1 is aiming at the GT500

Actually, I want a ZL-1. I admit it, I want a stupid fast GT with excellent handling, NOT a track car. I like leather, I like uber sound systems. ZL-1 works just fine for me. if money were no object, I would own a DBS (AND a ZL1).
