Bolt,

Uhm, a little refinement to your comment,

It is "want" to do it, not "need" to do it... and I'll be 49 this month, wait until my car gets out of the shop... then I'll be able to do burnouts at 110 miles an hour in 4th gear if I so desired... ZR-1 Vette hunter...

Tell you what, if I find a track to safely do so, I'll post up a video of it... just for you... 850 - 900 HP ought to be just fine for it on street tires...

lol

Serious question, I have never put any of my previous vehicles above 550hp. I think that was the ceiling for me with street vehicles...

At what point or HP mark do you think it gets less than desirable to have for a street vehicle and then dedicate your vehicle to the track?.... (not necessarily a daily driver) but your main method of transportation excluding to and from work... 600? 700+?...

i am having a bad day i smoked my tires bad in the drive way today. I was in such a bad mood i put traction and stabilitrack back on after i was done. Floored it in my neighborhood and it would do anything like i flooded it. Or tc wasn't having it. Turned everything off and hit the gas leaving hte niehgborhood for a 2 miles straight away and it got reall squirelly! Made me feel a lil better. i really want to try the fuse pull what do you all think is it healthy?

Heres the beauty of a turbo build. If you keep your foot out of it, it's as docile as a stock vehicle. The power is there relatively immediately if you need it, but for the most part you can drive it just like any other performance car... with respect. If the amount of exhaust gasses are limited, so is the boost, unlike superchargers which boost to the level of the RPM's. It's not a big difference, but Turbo's make more and more power the faster they spin, and are not limited to a specific amount of boost based on engine RPM.. There are people that feel there is a limit to the comfort factor, but if you're willing to commit to seriously pay attention to what you're doing all the time while behind the wheel then go for it... My ultimate aim is around 1100 RWHP... I'll drive my relatively sane car for 6 months or so, and then either upgrade the fuel delivery system again, and crank the boost, or hit it with Methanol and crank the boost... or both, you never know...

I do know that if your Boost level exceeds your tire pressure on a track day, many people consider you insane... I'll be there before long, and still have a comfortable car to drive and cruise around in... and one hell of a sleeper...We are aiming for 18 lb's of boost... and everything we are building is geared for that...
