I suspect the OP could have traded for an auto Camaro to fix his issue or he could have bought an older automatic something to drive for a while. He bought a Mustang because he wanted a Mustang, and that's ok, but MAN UP and admit it.
Nothing bugs me more than someone who won't stand up and tell the truth as to why they make the decisions they make. That is why............. I call BULLSH=T.
Thats special, but you arent in his place.

You dont know anything about his "super duper real motives". He said there were not any auto Camaro 6's available in his area, so he went with the Mustang.

You are in no place to claim he isnt telling the truth, because YOUR circumstances were different. Good for you that you were able to get a different ride while you healed up, the OP wasnt able to.

dude, you're not contributing anything useful, and you're being just as "narrow minded" by bashing Chevy owners just because you are trying to stick up for "your brand"

although i am a Chevy guy, i still have respect for Ford, and in fact i really like their current line-up including the fusion, taurus, f150, and even the mustang, im glad they are doing well and it shows in the quality/performance of their cars. that being said, i can honestly tell you i don't have an account on any ford related forums. im not out to start a flame war

it's one thing if you are a ford/mustang guy logging on to a camaro forum because you truly appreciate the camaro and want to learn more about it, but when you come on here just looking to start arguments like the one you have instigated here then you are really being just as narrow minded as you claim the others on this forum are.

think about what you are typing next time you post, maybe it wont sound so narrow minded next time.

now that that's out of the way....

Sorry to hear about your shoulder man, my girlfriend has the same problem, but the doctors cant find what is causing the pain. luckily she doesn't drive a manual, but if it means she wont be able to drive my car i may have more incentive to buy a manual for myself now haha.

i hope everything goes well with the surgery and sorry to hear you had to get rid of your camaro. hope the mustang treats you well.

Thanks Spyder.

Wow, you had a messed up shoulder. My surgery is just 4 days away now, not looking forward to it. :(

Regarding an automatic Camaro ...

I'm taking a bath on trading in a car that's only 10 months old, so finding a rebate was essential to offsetting the loss.

No rebates on Camaros.

Chain, I bashed Stang owners who came on this forum just to bash Camaros. I don't walk that way.

During my 33 years of driving, I've owned just about every make of vehicle there is. I just love cars (maybe too much!).

But I will repeat for everyone here that I never got more compliments on a car than I did with my Camaro. Old people, young people, and every age in between.

Everyone loved the look of the car and I was always happy to say "Thanks!" and answer any questions they had.

PEACE brother ...

Black5thgen, the Camaro is worth MORE than the 19k they gave me!

That's just what they gave me for the trade. I guarantee you they will sell it for at least 21k-22k.

I promise you Black, that I'll never come here bashing Camaros.

I made a lot of friends here. Really, really nice people.

And I hope that I can still call them friends!

Thanks Stew!

After my surgery it'll probably be weeks before I can drive ANY car. :(

Just to be clear ...

I was ragging on people who owned other makes of cars who came here just to bust on Camaros.

Heh Motor, I thought about renting.

But to rent a new (i.e. "not smelly") econo box for say 4 weeks, it would have cost me $1,650. If I went to Rent-A-Wreck ("Ewww, what's that smell coming from under the seat?") it would have cost me $700-$800.

Seeing how I'm 51 years old and have at least 3 more years before retiring from a pretty physical job (Firefighter), I thought now would be a good time to get an automatic and be done with it.

Except for dental work, this is the first real surgery I've ever had. A kind of a wake up call that my body is starting to fall apart from all those years of punishment!

Oh I know they will sell it for more. That's what sucks. You can get a new 2011 LS for 1-2K more. I was hoping LS' would be on lots under 20K by now. I hope they drop at some point soon, I have 20K miles left on my DD before I can get a new one. I'm hoping for an LS at that point.

I never had any bad things to say about you in this thread. I don't agree with your decision but it's your life, not mine. I just think you'll be making any new friends with your sig.

Even though you used a smiley, I have to agree!

I was just trying to "get into" my new ride. Probably not a good sig though for a Chevy forum.

Sig deleted.
