GM Accessory cup holder lighting.

I've searched the thread about cup holder lighting and everything is about how to DIY. I'm curious if anyone has pictures of the GM Accessory ABL which includes the footwells and cup holders. I've seen pictures from the red flash concept but they really don't focus on the ABL lighting. It would be cool if someone had some pics out there. I'm assuming its just a plug and play which would be great and would be something I'm interested in. The part # is 20971891 if anyone was curious.

Sorry to be the one to break the news but GM never started production of the footwell/cup holder ambient lighting. DIY is really the only route if you're looking to have those mods.

I'm curious about this also. Guess I could have the dealer install this.

I don't know about cup holder lighting, but that's a nice looking car you got there! Looks familiar!

I installed the cup holder lighting in my 2SS over the weekend. It cost all of about $60 and all plug and play. I got a splitter (wiring harness) from Ofer here on the board. It tied into my 4 pack gauge harness and had two plugs for the GM LED's. I bought a 5 pack of LED holders from Radio Shack and drilled 2 holes and put the LED holders in there and put the GM LED's in from the back and it is done!

Its not hard at all all you need for the lighting is the GM LED's remove the black holders and by the Radio Shack LED holders and drill 2 holes and that is it.

I think it was in the new synergy cars coming out that the cup holders and foot well lighting comes in.

I did mine differently than Ofer. I tested a bottle in the cup holder areas and it seemed to me as if the bottle would always scrape or even break the LED. I mounted/drilled one on each side of the area in between the actual cup holders. I'll post pics this weekend hopefully. I got my whole upper console painted IOM so these LED's really set it off.

What i did to fix that was take a file to the head of the LED and made it flat so its almost flush with the holder.
