I wouldn't want to be anywhere near that thing when it's cranking 6000+ RPM at that power level. It's like a grenade.

17 degrees of timing seems like a lot for a FI engine. On pump gas (93 octane), mine began knock retarding at 15 degrees, so we backed it off to 12 where it peaked at 641 rwhp/554 rwt

Probably in a few weeks. We still to to install the ECS tensioner and hope the belt stops slipping. So pretty much whenever I can get over to Ted. The biggest problem is that this am they are calling for another 5"-10" of snow for Friday. I hope not to much longer!

Read, Klotz 100 octane Race Gas, and we turn it 7200.

You turn a stock bottom end LS3 putting out 800HP to 7200 RPM? If that engine holds up under those conditions, I wonder if it doesn't come stock with forged internals? My understanding is that only the rods are forged and the top piston ring is not steel (chrome molly), that's why I'm surprised the engine holds up with that much boost.

I love that you push the envelope, you're establishing boundaries for the rest of us!

Some has to have the balls to try it or we will never know for sure.

If it breaks we have a complete Forged 416 CNC ported LS3 ready to drop in.

Life is good ON RACE GAS.

Ted.
