I wouldn't want to be anywhere near that thing when it's cranking 6000+ RPM at that power level. It's like a grenade.
17 degrees of timing seems like a lot for a FI engine. On pump gas (93 octane), mine began knock retarding at 15 degrees, so we backed it off to 12 where it peaked at 641 rwhp/554 rwt |

I cant wait to see what it does at the track , should be good with a th400 w/trans brake and 4.57s = needs big fat slicks.

You turn a stock bottom end LS3 putting out 800HP to 7200 RPM? If that engine holds up under those conditions, I wonder if it doesn't come stock with forged internals? My understanding is that only the rods are forged and the top piston ring is not steel (chrome molly), that's why I'm surprised the engine holds up with that much boost.
I love that you push the envelope, you're establishing boundaries for the rest of us! |
