Did you add a second LED to your doors?

I didn't add anything to the doors......there is a section at the top of the door that needs the paint sanded off so the ABL can extend all the way up.

Is the lighting uniform with your dash ABL mod?

So is the drill method the only way to get the light to extend throughout both sides of the dash panels? What has everyone done to their light tubes in order to make the light full extend the width of their dash panels?

No cracks. I just made it a quick cut. It was definitely crooked as hell, but I just sanded it smooth and had no issues. Just cut it about a 1/4 inch longer than you need.

Whats the part numbers on the components used on the two large connectors on your adapter. I am assuming these are the connectors that plug into the 4pack gauges and the power source from the car.

Got back on the ABL today, and cut a piece of 1/16 plexiglass to use as a spacer/light pipe. Polished up the edges and temporarily attached it to the dash with carpet tape. Trim piece than snaps against the plexiglass, and pinches it to the dash. Only adds another bump to the trim.
Will have to wait till dark to see how it looks, and what changes to add to version 2! One change I noticed when installing version 1, would be to cut the both ends at a 45, and paint the cut edge so light from the led doesn't get in to plexiglass. but light can still get to the ends. May have to extend the center of the plexiglass all the way to the light pipe, will have too see what it looks like at night.

Joe
