Weird noise when engine is off. Try doing this... See if you hear the same thing...

I have an LS. I released the parking break on my inclined driveway to back out and let my girlfriend in the car. Sounds like there is a load shifting under the hood. I thought it was in the trunk... Which is empty. I'm thinking its the colder oil or maybe even window washer fluid shifting in the pans but its pretty loud and doesn't sound exactly right. deep sound, like theres something moving around the trunk...

FYI since 1000 miles I drive this thing like I stole it.

First off, welcome to Camaro5!
As for the issue your describing, I don't think I've ever noticed that, but then again I only have about 200 miles on my car so far.

I did notice once that while I was sitting in the garage setting up my phones Bluetooth to the car, that there was a noise under the hood. Mind you now, the car wasn't on and had been off for at least 15 - 30 minutes...

I have had the same issue although I haven't noticed it in the past month.

I have that issue fairly often at red lights (doesn't do it at stop signs, never actually stop for those!) Been wondering what it was for the longest... Sounds like an animal is in the trunk and throwing itself against the walls...

Yes, this is more than likely what it is. I have the same "issue" as well as others here. It's normal.

It is fuel slosh in the tank. The reason it is errartic is that it is prominent with 7/8 to about 1/2 full tank and it considered normal by Chevrolet. either no or poorly designed baffles in the fuel tank.

I see that Igndlt5 has gotten some official word from us but I would like to direct this question to our Technical Assistance team to see what they have to say. Thank you for your time.
