Muffler delete.

I live in Texas, and the SWAT team hasn't shown up at my door yet. As long as the cats are there, It'll pass inspection. Trust me.

I installed the SPL Loudmouth II on my SS and the sound is great. It has a low rumble and awsome at WOT.

what? all you have to do is walk outside or downtown and within 5 minutes you will hear a muffler delete on a camaro or mustang...lol

However, on this particular model, it is still rather raspy compared to stock/borla/flowmaster and so on... not quite ATAK raspy, but still has its razzle dazzle. Throw on LTs and it is pretty rough...

Subsequently, I went to Borla.

Isn't buying a $35-40k car, then going cheap on mods kind of like buying an Armani suit and then a tie from Walmart? Don't skimp, you may be sorry in the long run.

i get your logic here but what is the point of throwing $600 for the slp loudmouth kit that is exactly the same as having my local exhaust shop do the muffler delete? (disclaimer: i have the muffler delete and i love it)

should i spend three times as much for the mobil 1 oil going in my 2010 camaro as i spend for the mobil 1 oil i put in my 2007 Colorado?

what i did and my recommendation is have the money for a full exhaust, then go try the muffler delete ~$100. if you like it, great. Spend the money on a intake. if you dont like it then try an exhaust kit with a muffler...

Hate when people throw this out there. Just because you buy a $40k car doesn't mean you have to go it and find the most over priced parts to put on.

Most people that think this have never modded cars before. I have modded hundreds of Camaros and there are tons of reasonably priced, some even free, mods that are definitely worth the time and $$$. Not saying the expensive stuff doesn't work, just saying the cheaper stuff works just as good.

i can't believe SOLO hasn't been mentioned yet. i paid 7 and some change for the full catback and fitment was outstanding, i didn't even half to adjust the back end to get the tips lined up. plus it comes with great looking double-walled 304 SS tips. it has an awesome tone to it too. just MHO

I love the sound of my muffler delete. it sounds like the car should IMO
deep, just loud enough, no drone, no rasp.
deep rich sound then at wide open thunderous
all around great and cheap to boot

Best Exhaust for money?

I did some research and couldnt find a decent kit for mine under $800, so I had the stock mufflers and resonator removed and had some flowmaster super 44s welded on for a total cost of $300. I like the way it sounds and would recommend it. Here is a video of mine.

I went with the Pypes cat back. Stainless steel and sounds great. People say that they are made in china, but the way I see it Chinese stainless is better than American mild steel (ie Flowmaster). Cost me $500 and I couldn't be happier.

Both for me, LOL. My wife controls the money and there was NOOO way she would let me throw $1000 bucks down the drain to make my car louder. After my warranty is up, and I get a set of LT's, then we'll look at a real exhaust system, but for now.... I LOVE my muffler delete!

I personally run manifolds with no cats and had a muffler shop run the pipe along the fender (2" pipe) with chrome slash cut tips right next to the outside mirrors. It's loud so it sounds awesome. Its kinda like zoomies and side pipes mixed together. I also have 22s on my "mobile home". On a more serious note, performance mufflers are tuned by design to accent the way engine sounds. IMO muffler delete only adds volume. I pick HUSHPOWER with longtubes. That's all folks.
