Arrow Input Needed: TR6060 in 4th gen Fbody

I'm picking up a TR6060 from a '10 SS this weekend for my twin turbo project, and wanted to see if some of you all could help me with some questions.

- It apparently does not have a slip on style yoke; has anyone been able to convert these transmissions to a slip on yoke? If so, what is needed for the conversion?

- Is the tailshaft interchangable with a T56 tailshaft?

- Is there any problems with these trannys I should know about before I dive into all the work involved in putting this tranny in a 4th gen? How much power do they usually hold before something gives?

Thanks for your time.

The tail shaft is not interchangeable, what most have been doing is buying our billet
plate and then we make a CV Driveshaft like the one we make for the 2010 Camaro
if you want some real advice i would call Tj at RPM Trans

shaft looks like this

Thanks for the reply. How much is a setup like that going to cost? And what are those driveshafts rated to? I am planning on making 1000whp+.

It would be a lot less work to convert a T56 Magnum (TR6060) to fit your application. RPM Transmissions does make a drop in conversion where they replaced the tailshaft housing to the older T56 housing machined to accept the bigger output shaft and has the slip yoke. I have been looking into this conversion but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

To be honest it's less work to just buy a T56 Magnum and call it a day.

Besides messing with the yoke you'll also have to fight the shifter linkage and a few other hassles. The Magnum is almost a direct swap and has the same internals as the 6060.
