Blower with this Cam?

My cam specs are in my signature, and originally I wasn't going to go FI but now I'm looking at all options to get me a little more. I know NOS is the easy, quickest way but I have zero experience with a NOS car. This isn't my DD but I drive it as much as I can in the summer months of MI. (which seem to be getting less frequent). I started taking the car to the Drag, but it definetely won't be a "drag car", but I would like to drive it to the track run 11's all day and drive home with the A/C on. I have a email into my builder about suspension parts, and I already have a quote from him on a maggie install, i'm just looking for opinions from other builders... is this cam ok for a blower? Would you recommend I just stay where i'm at and go with suspension upgrades? Is getting my heads ported something you would recommend? Guess I'm just looking for what your next step would be if you had the current mods I do and are looking to break the 500 mark.

It is a little big on the Intake but it should work Fine for intended use.

Ted.

If you like how it drives, it will work fine. You can make similar power with a Maggie and smaller/milder cam though. Boost might go up slightly, but power should be near the same.

SC the best way to add lots of power . But then you're gonna have problems with traction HEHEHE.
Horsepower starts with suspension, I'd start with the that, axles and some DR. See what you run then add the FI.
Ported heads (at least the ones I've used) have picked up 10 maybe 15 HP in the past.

Just had my car tuned running this exact cam with a P1 Procharger @ 5ish psi. Made 591 HP and 508 ftlb at the wheels.... A lot of fun and sounds/drives great....

I know there is probably better blower cams out there, but I got the cam kit for a steal.... no regrets at all.. I think you will be happy.

Did you upgrade the fuel pump? I was thinking procharger would be over kill, but this gives me something to think about.

What do you mean by a procharger being "over kill"?

I am also running a KB BAP.... Plenty of fuel with this combo... Now if I pulley down the ProCharger, I may have to upgrade the fuel side a bit more....
