If it helps any, it's not just a Camaro problem. My CTS-V Wagon was built on 3/25, made it's way a week later to the rail yard dropoff in Arkansas, and has been sitting there ever since waiting on a 3 hour truck ride to the dealer. Is it possible to go get the thing myself? I'm only 2 hours away from where it has been sitting for almost 3 weeks!

I was the same TPW as Dragon and my Vert was delivered to me this past Monday. I relly feel bad for all of you having issues.. I was the last one built that TPW and one of the first to get their car. Have you guys tried the www.gmconnects.com forum? Larry is the Mod, he is very connected and gets fast replies.. try it.. When I couldn't get info here I went there. Its run by GM, so it isn't as warm and fuzzy as here, but maybe it helps.

Yeah, I'm getting pretty annoyed at this point. My car still hasn't left Oshawa, and it has now been three weeks. There's really no acceptable excuse for that.

Wanna5, talk to Mick, his dealer was going to see about a railyard pick-up, see if it worked out for him. Either way, it couldn't hurt to call your dealer and ask.

@BlueDragonVT

I'm still waiting here too, I was 3800 on 3/16! 4150 on 3/17!

My car is apparently a big thing for a lot of people, I must get asked 5 times a day if I have my car yet.

I get the same thing, Ph4r, which doesn't make the waiting any easier.

Somebody somewhere, has to know where our cars are, and somebody somewhere knows why they are still there.
all I want to know is,
Where is it
Why is it STILL there
When will it move on.

Is that asking too much?
Stop putting the blame on someone else, or just telling us 'it's out of our control' as my dealer continues to tell me.

the other common answer I hear is that ' it must be in QC for a period of 4 weeks or better as is usual with the launch of any new vehicle.'

if an issue was found with our cars as they went through QC and they are working on a solution, then just tell us.

All I'm asking for is an honest answer.

if I can get an honest answer, then I can deal with the extended wait.

I agree with you, HDRDTD. At this point, my dealer is telling me that he is waiting on a bunch of vehicles from Canada. They should be putting them on trucks if they can't get the railcars. To be honest, though, the two things I truly don't understand are that vehicles that were built after mine have shipped, and it seems that the ones from the immediate vicinity of Oshawa, like cars going to Ohio or Michigan, are the ones with the worst delays. This shows very poor order management in my opinion. Sold vehicles should have shipping priority, in the order they were built. I'm being told that for some reason they are going to rail my car to Nashville, then truck it up here. That makes NO SENSE, since Nashville is hardly any closer to me than Oshawa.

Now, I understand that the rail companies are having a hard time keeping up with increased shipping demand lately, and I understand that the situation with Allied is causing some trucking delays, but they have had over a month and a half to address these problems, and they don't appear to be improving anything. My concern is that once they finally ship it out of Oshawa, it is going to sit in Nashville for another week or two before they manage to truck it to the dealer.

Among the stories that my dealer has told me includes one they got from the transportation dept.
Supposedly tranportation says that the issues with the Allied strike caused some abnormalities in the shipping process, and that all the cars in the off-lot where my car is, have to be re-entered into the shipping schedule, and they hope to have everything back to normal by th eend of the month.
Yep, that's what they passed on to me.
Still hasn't moved yet.

My dealer has been having no problem getting verts in that are not pre-ordered. Mine on the other hand...

Of course non of their dealer stocks lasts longer than 2 days and none of them have been IOM. I'm beyond pissed at this point and just like others here, my dealer has no clue where my car is.

Well, I just took a look at some of the other TPW threads on here, and discovered that not only have cars built after mine shipped, but they have already been delivered. So clearly the line about not having any rail cars is BS. I'm getting pretty upset at this point. I don't like being lied to.

To be fair, we have no idea when those dealer verts were ordered. maybe they came quickly, maybe they had to wait a long time as well.
(cough, cough)

So here is the latest update. This morning I called GM customer assistance. I was connected to some brilliant individual named Arena. The first time, she left me on hold for 30 minutes while she supposedly tried to contact another department. Eventually, I had to hang up. I called back, and unfortunately got her again. This time she hung up on me. She called me back a few minutes later, left me on hold for ten minutes, and put me back on with my dealership. WTF?!?! I have my dealer's number, I would have called them if I wanted to talk to them. She then puts me back on hold while they talk. Then she comes back to me and says, "You salesman talked to tracking this morning and said your car will be on train." What is that supposed to mean?!? She could offer no further clarification beyond that. Is this the kind of customer service we should expect when we are putting down this kind of money? I've received better customer support when buying a ten dollar CD. I'm not sure how much more of this I am willing to tolerate.

They are still trying to tell me that they don't have any rail cars, despite the fact that anyone that logs into this site can see that vehicles built well after mine have already been delivered.
