Tough choice seems like everyone has battled between the two. Also take a look at the new Chargers I think they did a good job restyling it. They look badass in the new Fast Five movie. But between your two original choices make the decision after you get equal time behind the wheel in both. Cant go wrong with either choice

Too many doors on the Charger. I remember the originals and they were NOT old folks four door sedans.

If it's a 2010 challenger srt make sure you get a great price. You shouldnt be paying over 40k at this point. A good amount of posts on some of the challenger forums about guys getting srt's for mid-low 30's.

A few of the guys have said it already...do the research. Get seat time in both. Go stare at both of them for an hour a piece. What does your heart tell you to buy? Which makes the most sense to you, for you and fits best in your budget?

Thats exactly what we did when car shopping and it was brutal. If I had my way I'd have a 5.0 stang, camaro and challenger in our drive. Unfortunately that's not in the budget (I blame my kids!) I think you are in a win/win situation here so take your time and let us know which you get. (Even if it's one of those god awful challengers!)

Get the Challenger if you want a high waisted over weight crusier. Get the SS if you want a sexy head turner.

You need to ask the same question on Challengertalk and see what kind of responses you get. Much smaller community though. I will point out that some of the Challengers have an unresolved problem with the car dying while decelerating and turning a corner. It has even carried over to the 2011 models. No one has a clue what it is and not everyone has the problem. Something to take note of.

How can you not decide on which one when you haven't even experienced driving both? Drive both then decide.

Either one will make you happy for sure. I have no regrets, even though the SRT8 had all the goodies I was looking for, so did the Camaro. I preferred the chopped, cockpit like feel of the Camaro with the heads up display. Both cars are mean looking, Camaro seems a bit quieter at idle...Price was another plus, Camaro's build quality is just as good, aside from some paint chipping issues that continue to come up...The whole Onstar service as our only source of Navigation is a little annoying, especially since it requires yearly payments of $199+

One thing to consider is the aftermarket accessories available for both cars and the cost of those accessories. Traditionally it costs a lot more to make a Dodge go fast.

Also, Chrysler is still in very poor financial condition and continues to struggle with UAW labor costs. There's a significant chance that they could go out of business; unless Barack Hussein Obama decides to bail out his union buddies again.

Anybody else have pros or cons for deciding which car to get?
I would agree with everyone here. The best way to get this debate settled for you would be to test drive both vehicles and find our for yourself which is the better of the two. You may also want to get some preliminary price quotes on both vehicles just to see which on fits your budget best as well. I hope these suggestions help you.

Sounds like a turbo.
Seeing that he's in the 9s he might also be spraying too.
