From what I have heard, you only feel it when you are doing 55 mph or more! Guess that is when they work the best!

The VaraRam appears to be more consistant, but not more HP on the dyno. There isn't any ram air effect taking place on a dyno. I would expect a little more power with the car actually moving.
Thanks for sharing!

In the link I posted to my most recent dyno, there wasn't a fan directed to make good use of the ADM scoop either. My main issue with the VR was the AFR. Honestly I didn't expect it to be great, but certainly didn't expect it to be that bad. I'm hoping to see others dyno with the stock tune and have better AFR.

I guess we'll see with this next dyno if your dyno is typical or not. It may be with the Vararam the best power is gonna be made with a tune, even with very little modding. What I do like though is the power people are making on the track. There are numerous cases of guys who have all kinds of varying mods that are picking up time and mph with adding the Vararam. That's what impresses me the most about this intake.

Do you have a Strong MAF Sensor?
Looks like you sold me on the CAI intake! I do not want to void my warranty with a tune. |

Yes I have one of the strong MAFs K21 iirc. But before you jump ship on the VR, wait until a couple more people do their dyno pulls. Although I can't imagine what, it's possible something was wrong with mine. I really like the idea of the OTR intakes.

If you are gonna do more than your Flowmaster ie VMAX throttle body, longtubes, cats, etc. and don't want to tune, then yes I would say the CAI brand would be your best bet. If Flowmaster is all you have planned, the Vararam no tune intake should be fine. I have the Cherrybomb axleback exhaust with the Varaam and I have done some fuel trim logging and they have looked pretty good. I love my setup. If later on down the road I start adding mods I will tune anyway as this is the only way to get the most out of your mods.
