I was outside taking a break from studying, randomly checking the news on my phone, when I saw the headline. I could hardly believe it, but the dozens of students pouring out of my dorm confirmed it. I grabbed my bag and ran too the White House. People waved American flags and chanted "USA!" over and over. As the crowd grew, people began singing our national anthem, and I joined in as news cameras recorded the impromptu celebration. It's pretty amazing to think that I was part of something that could be an everlasting image in American history. When I'm old I'll be able to tell my kids, "Ya, I was outside the White House when the nation's greatest enemy was confirmed dead".
