Even RWHP is misleading. Power to weight ratio, my Bros. I only have 180 hp at the wheels, but the bike weighs 550 pounds, so the short version is, I get there first. ( But I can't wait to be there in a ZL1. ) .

true - but i pretty much know what the camaros' weigh - most are in the neighborhood of 3900 lbs - give or take. my gt500 weighs 3880 - so that is relatively equal.

also wanted to say - that would be a great road trip though. only prob would be youd have a brand new zl1 while i have a gt500 - which im sure will have a few mods by then. its just so hard not to beef these cars up anymore. wouldnt be fair - im guessing without knowing the zl1s numbers.

It's bit of a put off to see people razzing maxpower5 in the first page or two of this thread. I guess people here will do that just because he is a Shelby owner (fine looking ride, BTW).
But, it starts to degrade into a "my dad can kick your dad's but" sort of level when you hear people talking about Drag Dart's and such. There is always someone / something quicker. He poses the question of a theoretical race, and it makes for good conversation. Problem with any "what if" race, is that there are too many variables. I am an "Open Track" guy as well as a Drag racer and I have seen so many strange things, like I am sure many of us have, such as a Z06 Vette being lapped by a stock Miata, or a well driven, dialed in and modded Civic flat running away from a Shelby, Camaro SS or whatever. I can only believe what I see on any given day... same track, same day, preferably door to door in the same pass. Otherwise, anything can happen. I can claim I've beaten a 8 second drag bike on my bone stock Gen II Hayabusa with paper plates on it's first track outing. But, it was due to a Red Light on his part. So, things can be deceiving. And internet bench racing is the worst (or best, depending on where you stand). OK, so with reality out of the way, I still think my Dyno Queen can kill your "corrected" best DA pass in a ZL1. (Though to be honest, with it's predicted Hp numbers, I am seriously considering upping my boost to deal with any of those pesky buggers, should I encounter one on the freeway in the real world).
