DARN IT, beat me to it! I was going to say something like "I hope you have Manuel's permission to drive him...?" Too little, too late.

I say keep it as an option, but maybe limited production or order only? I get the feeling most of these cars are going to be sold in manual, but it would be nice for those who can't drive stick (thank you, vets :flag2 to be able to enjoy it.

I doubt many buyer will opp for "manual" on a high performance car these days. If you look around you; you only find manuals now on older semitrucks and that about it. The American car manufacturers have not had the $$$$ to develop the DCT for their high performance cars like those of the Europeans and Japanese cars. Most drivers do not want manual for their new cars mostly because of the rush hour traffic and it is almost impossible to use the new mobile device with a manaul. After all; you only have two hands and the third pedal is a BIG draw back to driving.

I even say a trade in at BMW dealership where the guy been driving a manual for most of his life and try out the DCT and he just keep smiling. He purchase the DCT Z4 on the spot at retail too!

I say yes to the A6 too!

Whether you like it or not, the idea is to sell cars! They'll sell more with an A6 option!

Also, you said that if they got over a thousand on the poll, they'd give you an answer! Have you heard from GM yet?

There is already a well proven auto mated to this engine in the CTS-V..I say do it!

I know that it wont hurt a damn thing if there is a auto option for the ZL1, if anything, it'll bring more buyers!

Well...they've changed enough in front of and behind the transmission that including the option would require revalidation of the unit...it would probably be fine, but it'd have to be done. That costs money and time.

Then there's the factory costs of adding another option in the mix. Especially one that can't be packaged with other options...

So it could hurt in terms of $$$...and typically, buyers of this sort of car don't go for the automatics. But maybe that's changed...this is something they've got to look at and decide.

...Though I will say, given that it's almost the middle of May...I'll bet they've already made the decision, one way or the other....so the discussion is probably moot...

A better question for me would be how soon can I trade in my 2010 Camaro for it (the auto for auto of course).
