Oil Pan Leak
I have 8000 miles on my 2010 SS I ordered it in October of 2009 and received it in December of 2009.
Last month I was upgrading my exhaust system (2nd one) and noticed oil dripping from rear seal area. I immediately took it to the dealer where I bought it. Rotolo Chevrolet in Fonatana CA. This dealership by the way is the best. Customer service is awesome and the sales staff very non-pushy..I have bought all my chevy's since 1989 from them. The service manager personally looked at this and they found out it was the oil pan seal only (whew) The Camaros use a synthetic oil that is very thin and can find a tiny seam, hole anywhere. They changed the oil pan seal and told me Chevy has had issues with these oil pan leaks off and on a for a few years. I recommend you check your seal between 5000-12000 miles or if you see any drops on the driveway or garage floor.
