How does it hold up when rim edges have curb rash?

For anyone intreseted; read this:

http://www.plastidip.com/home_soluti...Your_Color_Kit

Making your own custom color plasti-dip and it appears they have a clear coat from the read (at least to my understanding).

I just read every page of this thread and I'm sold. I'm so doing this this weekend!

I would assume it would hold up better in that area since it has more to grip to. And it would hide it very nicely.

Would it also work to add color to break pads? Seems like an easy way to give the stock brake pads a little color.

I doubt spray on vinyl would hold up to the heat

Won't the paint be affected from the plasti-dip? Low buck, removable, and totally ghetto. I'm missing the fascination with spray painting your new car. Doing things cheap isn't always doing them right.

Most people that ask about the wheels want to know where I got them powdercoated and how much I paid. $30 including masking tape and a cheap dropcloth means that I can redo my wheels almost 20 times before catching up to the cost of quality powdercoating, without the hassle of dismounting/remounting tires and tpms... The satin finish hides brake dust rather well, and the finish holds up to pressure washing at the local car wash. I did my taillight bezels, bowties and front SS badge as well to maintain continuity in the texture while eliminating all of the chrome accents from my car. Could I have paid more to have it all done professionally?? Of course, but there is some satisfaction in doing it myself. Being able to remove it if I screw up is just a bonus. Just because I can hold a calligraphy pen, does not mean that I should stop using pencil.

I showed up to the track like above and everyone was like....damn those wheels are nice where did you get them? I'm like they are stock with some rubberized paint on them.

it holds up well to everything but the lugnuts being torqued and for that I just spot spray them when i'm done torquing them down. Problem solved.

No wheel cleaner, just car wash soap and a soft sponge or mit. Don't scrub it just go over it lightly. I would be careful using a tire brush and tire shine.
