More than a few have said the same thing. Something in the design creates excitement and interest. I think Chevrolet has a winner in the Sonic.

Fen, I see you are in Ohio. We are having a get well party for Rich Johnson, the owner of Back Street Performance, 650 W. Smith Rd. Unit 12, Medina, OH 44256
Rich was working on a customer's car when he fell poff the lift. His injuries include cracked vertebrea, punctured lungs from broken ribs, broken shoulder blade and cracked pelvis. It was a nasty fall for one of the very best in the business. Rich is true gentleman. The date is Date: May 21st There are more details in another thread, but if you and some of your enthusiast buddies can make it to Back Street it will help us put a big smile back on Rich's face. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ck+street+rich O 330.764.1923 |

My opinion though is it is probably worth it. The name might not make you more money but it will help you when looking for jobs. And my brief experience as a mechanic told me that techs move around pretty frequently. They (UTI) also have a reputation for training you with the best equipment out there. For some reason I think UTI doesn't allow you to work while you attend school (i could be making that up). Depending on your financial situation you may want to think about that and how much money you have to borrow. If you have to borrow tuition and living expenses it is probably not worth it. If you have a place to stay and only have to borrow tuition then maybe it is. You don't have to have a formal education to be a mechanic, but my advice is get one even if it is at a local technical school. Education pays off, as do certifications (ASE).
