U are right about the front lic plate holder. Regardless if its required by the state, it would be history.

Formula, would like some more pictures of your car looks very nice.

I do hope you got the warranty guarantee in writing. Lifetime can be a lonnngggggg time if you love your Camaro.

Now if all they did was re calibrate (there is no such thing as a chip anymore) the PCM, you could have a whole slew of issues depending on who did what to the car.

Putting 87 Octane in a stock car won't get you a CEL. I've done it plenty of times in L99s and LS3s without ill effects.

On the other hand, my GMPP Calibration on my Sky doesn't recommend 91 Octane, it requires it because the boost is increased and baaaad things can happen with 87.

So a stock calibration wouldn't set a CEL. Not sure what in a new calibration would.

But the dealer should be able to help.

A very big welcome to the site, and post MORE pictures please.

Nice one, enjoy!
I've purchased 3 cars from this dealer, they honor it (and its in writing). You just have to get the car fixed at one of their dealerships (I think they have around 10 huge dealers under the same company). They give a lifetime powertrain warranty on all cars, and they sell a ton of cars.

And where are my manors... WELCOME! There is a lot of to weed through here but good info as well.

If you are intersted in and clubs, look into PACE (Pittsburgh Area Camaro Enthusists). I think thats a new club, mostly 5th gens or NEOCC (North East Ohio Camaro Club). Been around much longer, of which I am a member.

Not sure how "active" in the Camaro community you are looking to be. Let me know and I can fill you in on some pretty local events to you.
I go to a few shows and track events per year. Is there a schedule for the pace club?

Not saying you bought something bad... just have a pro look at it. How was everything installed, is it clean, whats the tune look like... etc.
The installs are super clean, someone really took their time on it. I know a good GM tuner in the area, I'll see if I can get him to look at it.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
Thanks!

I drove it for a half an hour this morning (really easily, never going over 3k rpms) and the check engine light went off. I'll take it to autozone later and get them to scan it. Is it possible that its the CAI, I know on mustangs if to much air goes through the maf it sets a code, so you have to tune them for a cai.

I don't have any info on PACE... sorry!

Some things to consider though, I will be at these as I am sure PACE will as well:

July 22 - Camaro night at Starlite
July 23 - Tom Henry Chevy picnic
Sept 10/11 - NEOCC Camaro reunion at Summit Racing in Akron, OH

Good deal... I was hoping is wasnt some hack job!

The CAI shouldn't throw a CEL but I suppose it could. You could also push your blue button and tell OnStar to run a check. Either way, get it checked if nothing more than piece of mind!

yep, there are 2 more, but I think they are 2011s and they want a fortune for them (10k mark up). Mine ended up being being pretty close to msrp on a 2011 2ss (mine is a 2010).

Ah that's cool. I saw the 2011's there and thought the mark up was crazy for what they were. Congrats though! That one looks sweet and it sounds like you got a nice deal!

Thats insane.. 10K markup? For what? Some wheels, CAI, axelback, springs and sways... WHOA!

The wheels may be expensive but the rest of the stuff is about $1400 total.

CAI ~ $400 (1 hour)
Springs ~ $300 (2 hours)
Sways ~ $300 (1 hour)
Axel back ~ $400 (1 hour)

+ install which I'd give 1/2 day tops at typical rate of ~ $100 an hour... plus tax I give that car $2000 in mods total plus the wheels and some faux carbon fiber...

Now I know they need a profit but those wheels go all day for $350 or less per wheel... so $1400... I assume stock PZeros.... give $100 mounting and balance and alignment were up to what... $3500.... even if it has $1500 in faux carbon fiber stuff thats a $5000 profit PLUS the fact they are getting MSRP! I am in the wrong business....

If you got "close" to MSRP you got a good deal but anyone willing to pay MSRP + 10K needs to have their head examined. This is NOT a highly modified car! You didn't miss much being a 2010 over a 2011. HUD is all really.

I got my car for $4000 UNDER MSRP in May 2009 and have a lot more mods than this car and I am about $1000 over MSRP right now....
