The production run is supposed to be today... How long does QC generally take?

There is plenty of room on the driver's side now.

Actually, the driver's side isn't a bad place to put one, since it would put the catch can near the oil filter housing. I've held off so far on getting one so that I didn't interfere with the work Vararam is doing. But my Camaro certainly has needed a catch can for a long time (like since early 2010), especially for the "clean" side line.

Good question. I'll let you know once I have my Camaro back from them and see boxes waiting for the UPS guy to pick them up.

Why not 2

When the driver's side will be cleared of the original air filter, there will be enough space left to install event 2 catch cans.

I don't have the Vararam set up, might go for it when i'll read feedbacks after a while but having 2 cans will protect the engine from the CLEAN and DIRTY side.

Vararam CAI will leave enough space to install both.

Here a link I posted sometime ago. SC2150 likes the idea and he's an expert in Catch Cans.

Does anyone care to answer this question??

Since VR had to go back and retweak does this mean that VR had a chance to get more into production?? or is this going to be the same amount of peoples getting it first?

Only Vararam can actually answer this question.

However, production is done locally and it is quite capable of churning out a good number of intakes per day. I'm sure the low number of people initially contacted from the group buy had something to do with the initial batch of parts being a small run. It doesn't make sense to do a full-tilt production run until you are certain that everything is perfect and up to spec. Like I said last week, one of the issues that was being dealt with was abnormal material shrinkage on one of the parts from initial small run. It's better to scrap 10 intakes (small run) due to problems than to have to scrap 200 of them (large run). If everything goes well with the next small run, it's not that big of a deal for them to churn out the remaining intakes for the rest of the group buy people.

I hate to say it.....but I think this is the final week for me. I realllly want this, but there are a whole bunch of other things I reallllly want too and this holding up all of them. With no official word and no end in sight to the waiting, I'll give it to the end of the week but then my money is going to be gone on other mods....hopefully I can come back to this later on down the road. :( It pains me to say it though and I really hope we hear some good news!!!

Yeah, me too!! I'm not saying it's their fault or anything, and I wouldn't want them to rush out with an inferior product.....I just can't wait anymore, so much to do!!!!!!

After talking to rol a little bit yesterday about the process VR is going through to get the product right, I'm willing to wait.
