Nice. You will get an SS. But, don't be fooled by old fashioned thinking, It may feel different but, the L99 is every bit the beast the LS3 is. I came from manuals and no way i'd trade my A6 for the manual. Real world results tell the tale. If i want that feeling every so often I just change over to Tapshift and it's right there. First gear from manual mode is just plain wicked.

Obviously i'm biased. They are both fantastic.

They are all over the place, they move them around to different locations, so I cant have any fun with my car for fear of getting another ticket mailed to me. If I get on the highway to wind it out its nothing but traffic. Damn!
PW, lol, know what you mean. Very few chances to wind it up.

I won't even test drive an SS. Rather not know what I'm missing.

Yeah I wish I had of played around with the paddles when I drove it. I love using those in my car. I'm going to get a auto anyway for where I live. Just to much traffic and lights. If it was more open road area manual would be fun for sure.

I was the same way. I bought the 6 as I will have to drive in Canadian winters, figured the 8 would just be asking for trouble. Dealer had me sit in a 8 and start it (no M6's on the lot for a test drive), immediately shut it off and got out.

so whats your thoughts on that debate now ? hehe

Id love a V8 but with my long commutes to work and gas the way it is, it would kill my pocketbook. Maybe in a few years lol.

I always seem to gravitate to the underdog. Thats why my Road Runner was a 383 as opposed to a 440 or Hemi.
