I can't help but wonder if GM is even aware of how bad this makes them look when I have to say, "They built it, but they can't seem to get it to me." Of course, that is just the people I'm talking to, never mind all the people reading these threads, and everyone the rest of you converse with. That's some pretty bad PR.
I completely agree with the bad PR thing. But I was told by my dealer that it could be 8-12 weeks, so really - It's just been reading this forum that got my hopes up. On average, I have about 4 people ask just to see. But I do have high hopes now; the word fluttering around the forums is that they got the situation with the rail cars resolved and are now shipping\clearing out the stragglers. Dealer called me yesterday and told me it is on a train here, so hopefully should see it by next Wednesday or so based on others around my area.

Just have patience - "good things come to those that wait". You most likely won't be too long now... Two weeks before you should start worrying again. Otherwise, just be pelasently suprised when it does ship!

LOL, well at least they told you up front. My dealer told me 5-6 weeks. Friday will make 8 weeks since I ordered. Congrats on yours shipping, though, hopefully it will get to you soon!

Well guys, I've finally got some good news. After five weeks of waiting, and getting Larry and John involved through GMconnects, my car has gone to 4200 Shipped. They tell me it will be at the dealership in two weeks. That's a little longer than I had hoped, but at least we are moving again, and after a month without movement, I think I can survive two more weeks without the car.

Glad to hear you're getting your car in a couple of week! Good color choice, btw. I ordered the same. We're going to be among the few 2011s in that color.

Three, I saw you will be picking yours up tomorrow. Congratulations, your car looks gorgeous! I hope you have some good weather to enjoy it in this weekend. I know I can't wait to see that IBM shining on mine!

I love the IBM in the bright sunlight. Looks fantastic. But being very dark, it's like black, and shows everything. I had some light rain the day I picked it up, so it looked bad for a while.

If it's any help, there was a VERY long train of nothing but vehicle transporters west bound thru Erie yesterday. Hope your car was on it.

Ok, so I've been loaded on the train, but the dealer tells me he doesn't think the train has actually left Canada yet. Also, he is telling me that he can't get the railcar number for me, that "they don't give him that information." Can one of the dealers on here, or maybe Jeff, help me out with that information? My order number is PNVWH1. Thanks everybody!

They say good things come to those that wait. If so, your car better be something special, BlueDragon! I hope it arrives soon.

BTW - I'm sure you don't want to hear it, but when it finally arrives at the distribution center, it could be a while before it gets shipped to the dealership. Mine took a week. It was a LOOOOOONG week...

Yeah, Suskam, I understand. My car hit Walkerville on the 11th, then I got an update that it was in Detroit as of this morning. Four days to cross a border. I'm starting to go insane by slow degrees, I think.

Three, I certainly hope she is something special, though I really hope it takes less time than that. I'm starting to think it might still be about two weeks out, and that is starting to freak me out. I woul REALLY like to have her next weekend.

My status as of this morning is: Departed for Louisville, KY. (from Toledo, OH) No ETA available. I understand how you feel, Suskam. I hope you are driving her this weekend. I doubt mine will be here until next week.
