I am leaning towards the ghost stripes as the CF parts add weight, and really dont fit very well. There are also some killer paint shops in Big D, so I figure I might as well.
I am going to drive out and pick it up myself, cant see waiting three weeks after she's done for my baby again.
Congrats, sounds like it's going to running AND looking awesome again soon!!! Can't wait for you to get it back out on the road/track again soon!

LPE AAM 3.91's Installed

I just finished installing the LPE AAM 3.91's in my car on Friday. Spent the day Saturday getting them broke in properly. I would drive around speeding up and slowing down normally (no jack rabbit starts) for about 15 miles. Then I would stop for a good hour or so to make sure they would completely cool down. I did this about eight times. So they should be well broken in.
My impression of these gears, is that this car should have come with this ratio. They drive very easy, at stop lights you hardly have to touch the gas at all to take off. Just let out the clutch and go. They are so smooth, especially with an aftermarket clutch that grabs pretty hard. Before, I had to slip it a little to take off, but when trying to ease the clutch out it would shudder and shake alot. Now it is so smooth without even trying. Also, the AAM 3.91's are just as quiet as the stock gears that the car came with. Absolutely no noise whatsoever. The Richmond 3.73's were very noisy gears.

With the stock 3.45's I was at 1750 rpm's at 75 mph in 6th gear. With these 3.91's I'm at 2000 rpm's at 75 mph in 6th gear.
I also installed the LPW diff cover, which is alot stronger than the stock cover and has load bolts to put a preload on the carrier bearing caps to help keep them from flexing.

I want to thank all the guys at LPE for all the help in getting these gears, especially to Jason Haines and Jeff Myers. They said at the dinner at Don Shula's at C5FestII that they would somehow get me to have some Lingenfelter parts on my car. Well they did it!! Here's a pic of the Lingenfelter sticker on my car. I hope to do you guys proud!! Thanks again.

It is an awsome car Tim! I just wish I could have figured a way how to get a test drive, or at least a ride along!
I find it very ingriging how you can adjust the boost and what rpm it comes in at. On the strip twin turbos ought to really help the launch.

Welcome to the Brotherhood, even if you are only sneaking in in the rear.
I think the one thing we all love about LPE is they always come through with the best. I have yet to ever be disappointed with their work or parts. They really are the top shop out there.

Nice job. I agree with what you said about the gear ratios completely. Everything feels great with the 3.90's, and on the way home from C5festII I used 6th gear most of the way and averaged 30mpg. Welcome to the brotherhood!
