A question to the owners who have the v6 and actually drove the v8 and either decided to or thinking about upgrading why not just go for a used vette. I cant help but think that one would be a lot faster and have a more push you back in the seat feel then the SS. I love the Camaro but just not sure its worth the money you will lose upgrading to SS for the same car. If Im missing something let me know as I havent drove the SS but heard they are not all that fast. Im going to upgrade cars soon hence the question.

Bleh, I've never ever liked the aesthetics of the Corvette. Well... Except for the recent concept (The one they used for the Autobot Sideswipe)

Mine is the first new car I've ever purchased (with the exception of the KIA I bought my parents), and I'm guessing it's a similar feeling to what you are having. I'm with ya brother.

I stopped driving my L99 is auto and only drive it in manual using the paddles, which disables AFM in my car. Honestly I feel I have the best of both worlds that way. Sure my mileage suffers a little, but if I wanted a 4 cylinder, i would have bought a cruz.

i wanted a vette originally. the c6 is much faster than an SS too, actually. unfortunately for me, i'm too tall to be comfortable in the vette. but there is no doubt, chevrolet has done the stepping process from slowest to fastest of their muscle cars very well. lt/ss/vette/zl1/z06/zr1. they all offer a little bit more than their little brother.

The stock L99 I drove was not that special over my modded 6. The LS3 was nice though! The auto shifting the L99 was a bit slow.
