Did you break in your Vararam the right way, mine has a mean improvement and bangs my head violently against the headrest at times, no joke. Install, 10+ mins idle no driving, drive conservatively for 45 to 100 miles then after that you are all set to gun it like you stole it

Did you move to MI? (Sorry this is late but I've been in Canada for the past 5 days. 2 planned, 3 forced.)

Had to take mine off for now due to quality issues. The 2 halves don't sit flush with each other and I was getting a vacum leak at the pcv nozzle. Going to go back to vararam to see if they can solve the issues. I hope I just got a bad mold, I really don't want to have to get rid of this this intake. The power is addictive, anything else will seem like a downgrade.

I don't think anyone's two halves sit flush with the new model. I haven't had any issues with that. Is the hole in the coupler too big, is that why you are getting a leak? That should fit in there very snug.

Yeah I think it is too big. Its only at high rpm, and gives a quick high pitched whistle.

They should be able to fix you up with a new coupler. As far as the two halves go, the screws go into the filter and with the way they got it, it does no allow for each half to make a tight fit. A change in the filter location of where the screws go in the filter I would think fix it, although like I said, I have had no issues with it even though it is not flush. If you do go there, ask them about that.

Yup, went through the correct break in. Don't get me wrong... I'm not saying there wasn't a power increase, I'm not sure if I can feel it at the top end. The low RPM torque is THERE!

I had dirt in my throttle body, not sure if its the vacum hose or the loose fitting halves. I'm sure that they will try and fix the problem, hoping to head down there tomorrow. So far my dealings with Patrick have been great.

There are a couple of things they need to make better and one is the barbed fitting into the coupler. It seems to me that even making the hole big enough to allow a rubber grommet for the fitting to press into would be better than what it is now. I would have tried this...but I'm not talented enough to make a perfect circle the right size in a silicone coupler without screwing it up.

Get away from the vacuum line, add the oil breather and a catch can and go to a coupler with out a hole in it.

^^^I'm not a fan of the unmeterer air deal. On a stock tune that can mess with FTs. I'm sure you are tuned and that can be accounted for during the process.

But what is coming in through the breather is not going past the MAF sensor. Last time I tested a VC breather it threw the LTFT to 16+. Granted I've not tested Tracy's breather with the check valve. I'm sure that helps some. Maybe my testing was flawed. I was supposed to test one of his, but he either forgot or got busy. I didn't want to bother him and forgot about it until now.
