BackinBlack,

My bad dude I did exactly what I said you did, skipped over a few posts mistakenly and thought you were referring to me, my apologies.

IndeedSS1 Oh by the way... I had a VR and sent it back. After the tune and LT's I couldn't feel what everybody was talking about! And I was NOT dogging the VR.

Lucky for you they had the guarantee in place and are standup enough to back it up.

Viral's numbers are better than mine...BUT I am happy to report the following.

idle and slightly off throttle -3 and -4

Cruise +1.5 and 0

WOT +1.5 and 0 sometime it would be +.7 and +.7

My hard decel without braking would go as high as -6 and -5. Not that we pay attention to that. In fact with HPTuners I would filter out decel so it wouldn't skew the rest of the tuning.

Needless to say I'm

Here are the instructions. http://www.vararam.com/camaro-instructions.pdf

It's very simple, the only hard part is working the coupler on the TB and intake. The key is pulling the edge of the couple back while sliding the intake down and not allowing bottom part of the coupler, already on the TB, from being able to slide completely off. If you allow the coupler to warm up, like sitting in the sun, intalling will be a bit easier.

I've had BOTH the Vararam (old and new version) and the C.A.I. with ADM scoop (which I currently have), my car is tuned. I have to give the advantage to the Vararam for "fun". I can't put my finger on it, but The Vararam just seems to have that "pull" factor and puts you back in your seat a little harder at full throttle. Don't get me wrong, The C.A.I. with scoop is definitely a great CAI, But the Vararam just has something different about it that I liked

Brister1, good to hear another opinion from someone who has tried both of the best options out there. IndeedSS1 just mentioned a very similar sentiment. He's owned a CAI and a Halltech with ADM scoop and has come back to VR and, much like you, says that it just "feels" better and pulls harder and just has an overall better fun factor.

BTW, Have any long term VR owners cleaned/oiled the filter yet? Does it require complete removal to access the filter?

Yes, you have to remove the enitre unit to clean the filter. After you get the hang of it, it really is easy.
