Did you get your forrest moved?
We got the garage/house slab poured, and we're ready to start framing.
After moving the "forrest" in and out about 3-4 times I think they're finally out for the summer. The cold freeze cost me a lot more trees than normal. One in particular, was about 2-3 years away from being a really spectacular tree.

Aww....sorry to hear about your tree. I take it very personal when we lose a pecan tree as well. Lightning is my culprit.

Cool so the great building adventure is underway! Just try not to get too upset with those silly contractors, they love to drag things out. Have fun, take your time and get it just like you want it.

Thanks for asking!

Overall it is really going well. We are having issues with the DNS and PRT over the new fiber optic pipe. The CAT.5 cabling was done mostly correct in the building, but we have spent a day and a half correcting various connector issues. The VOIP phones are now squared away. One PC scrambled, but it is being restored. One won't accept the third monitor it has been running for over a year I am still in the office with our IT professional. Come hell or high water, tomorrow will be a normal business day.

Our first night in the house we were about ready to finally get to bed when the C02 alarm went off. We were chasing the units all over the house. Beep. Not this one. Beep. Nope it most be another... We finally found the culprit, but I had no ladder and could not reach the 12' ceiling. I grabbed a dust mop my wife had purchased earlier in the day and reset it. Quiet. Time for bed. All was quiet until day two at 3:45 in the morning. Beep Yesterday I grabbed a ladder from the warehouse and took it down. Changing the back up battery fixed it Then the toilet in the girls room started leaking last night. I found it when we checked on the girls before we went to bed.

This morning I had the movers at 8:00. The plumber was there at 8:30. I ran a couple of meetings at the house while the movers and plumber took care of business. The movers did a really good job. My girls have been great. The oldest tried out for cheer leading with teacher recommendations by mail and a YouTube video for the 'judges'. She made it and had her first meeting tonight. The furniture fits in with the house better than expected. We are well and happy to be together in both our new homes.

As we get more settled I'll be around more.

Whew!!! Man you had a rough day! Well it sounds like you are turning the corner! Glad it is all starting to come together!
You should take a few pictures of the mishaps....they will make for some good laughs later.

Pete, glad to hear you got the pesky Gremlins under control..
Yeah... Moving sucks... then you have to unpack and get settled in..
which sucks as well... and spend more money for the unforseen things.

How's your car coming along, Mike?

Nothing new to report here... next race isn't until 6/12. Went to an Auto-X test and tune at a different club.. and dialed the car in some more. made so many runs in the day, that I used 1/2 tank of fuel. I have the setup with the Hoosier's dialed in now. I must have made at least 50 runs. It was a really good event for testing different things. Had time to adjust something and do 3 runs... and then try a different setting.

All of the instructors were climbing over each other to get a ride in my hotrod.. LOL
They were like Big kids in the Candy store fighting over the last lolly pop.
They really helped with getting the car settled in, and I learned a few things along the way as well.

Settled on dropping air pressure 3 PSI less for each tire all the way around and front shock bound (the top one) 3 clicks from totally maxxed out - It improved the car greatly from where everything was set at the C5fest.

It's a whole new animal now... no more push or skating from the front, and the car actually takes a corner the way I want it to. It's MUCH faster now than where it was at the fest. I'm really liking the seats, BTW. I can concentrate on driving and don't have to think about body positioning in the car.

Cool, sounds like you are getting that beast all strightened out! I know what you mean about the seat letting you slide around. I am going to redo my seats like my wifes CTSV, they have a perferated suede center section. They really have more grip for the butt, and look cool as well.

My car is still in Dallas, I havent even had time to call and check on it. I will try to give Andy a ring tomorrow.

And just for the record I hate moving too.

After almost five years of operation, Pedders USA, LLC has moved to a custom built facility. The new facility will allow us to improve our operations and increase customer satisfaction. The new facility is also an excellent recruiting tool. Who wouldn't want to work in our new state-of-the-art facility as we continue to build our company?

Every time I drive into our new building I get excited. The loading dock is one of the reasons. When we started Pedders USA, LLC our warehouse was a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood on saw horses in my garage. We had to break down palettes at the end of the driveway because the delivery trucks were too tall to fit under the trees. Three temporary warehouses later we have this.

When I drove in early this morning a visitor was waiting at the front door.

She turned to greet me as I walked up.

We paused to take in the view before we walked into Pedders USA. LLC Head Office in Center Point Texas.

To your left is the hallway to the conference room and offices.

In front of you is our 'trophy case'.

To your right is my office.

Every office has a view.

Walking down the hallway...

The double doors on the left are to the conference room.

The offices and work stations are fully furnished. The conference room is a work in progress.

Our guest was quite comfortable in the conference room. She will be waiting for you when you come to the office.

Restrooms tell you a lot about a business. They don't need to be fancy, but if they are not immaculately clean it makes you wonder about attention to detail in other areas of the business.

We have multiple monitors at most work stations to improve efficiency. We are not a paper free company, but we are a less paper company.

Leon W. Baehre ( Baehre Associates, LLC, West Olive, Michigan 49460 (616) 994-7399) flew down to bring our systems back up in Texas. We had a number of cabling issues that Lee had to sort out in a limited amount of time. It is amazing what you can accomplish if you work from 8am to Midnight for a couple of days. Our new fiber provider struggled to get the DNS details correct, but after hours and hours on the phone Lee had them straight. Our IT and telephony systems are now all up and running.

This is one small section of the warehouse.

This is the main warehouse work station.

Warehouse work station #2

Preparing for the move, shut down and setup has created a number of issues. The biggest was the interruption of email services starting on Wednesday of last week. Some emails went out. Some emails came in. Many more did not come and and about 95% of outgoing emails failed to deliver. Our fax was out of service. With your cooperation and a lot of hard work from a number of people we are now back up and running more efficiently that ever.

Our new mailing address is:
Pedders USA, LLC
PO Box 509
Center Point, TX 78010

Our new shipping address via UPS or FedEX:
Pedders USA, LLC
207 River Road
Center Point, TX 78010

I honestly feel you are about the hardest working man in the suspension business!! You are living proof that taking care of customers and providing great products at a fair price will pay off!

Some days I think the Big Guy has over estimated the size of my shoulders. Other days He finds ways to lift me up and lighten the load. No one is ever a success by themselves. I have great partners, friends and family that all support me. And then there are very special customers that become good friends.

"Lingenfelter Kitchen" starts

Cheri and I promised Jeff and all the Lingenfelter guys pics...... so here they are!

Better known as "the Lingenfelter payback" dollar for dollar LOL.
Kitchen was gutted and underlayment for tile going down Thursday, cabinets following week, then lots of tile and then wait for 3 Betularie granite slabs to turn into a C section with Peninsula countertop...... better known as "the supercharger hood". Then add LED lighting after I move a bunch of electrical, heater duct, install new LG "LPE" appliances, followed by new carpet too.

PAYBACK and ..... I need my Camaro time!

Is your deal dollar for dollar?

I have a buddy that races offshore. Every dollar that goes into his boats is matched dollar for dollar in diamonds for his wife. My favorite paint scheme on his boat had diamonds flying from bow to stern.
