tinted windshield questions?

Hey what's up everybody? I was wondering if anyone here has their windshield tinted? I had my 4th gens windshield tinted 35% and I really liked it...my concern with the 5th gen is the automatic headlights...my 4th gen had auto headlights and the tint didnt have any noticeable effect on the sensitivity of when the lights came on and off..I want to put 50% on the windshield of my 5th gen but I'm worried it will make the auto headlights come on and off at weird times...what do you guys think? Anyone tinted their windshield?

Why would the windshield affect when the headlights come on/off? Ive seen a few of these windshield tint threads on here and its very intriguing and have given it some thought. Youre doing the whole windshield correct? Not just a strip on the top? I have 35% all around right now, how was the 35% on your windshield visibility wise?

The sensor that detects ambient light is on the dash...atleast it was on my 4th gen...so anything that you put over the sensor that blocks natural light from coming into the car you run the risk of the sensor thinking its darker out then it really is...I just don't want my auto lights coming on when its just cloudy out. The visibility wasn't that bad with the 35% on the windshield...and yea I mean the whole windshield not just a strip. I had 5% on the sides and 15 on the back...on a bright sunny day you couldn't see thru my windshield from the outside..it looked dark which is why I'm considering going with 50% on the windshield this time...you almost didn't need Sunglasses cuz it was so dark in the car. And not to mention that it blocked all the uv light from fading the dash the cops around here are cracking down on window tint so I'm thinking 20% on the side/back and 50 on the windshield...but I'm also debating just doing 35 all the way around

35% on the entire windshield is asking to get pulled over IMO. Though at the same time, I'm in the process of getting 70% done to mine. YAY medical exemption forms.

Let me know how the 70 percent looks...I've seen 60 percent and it wasn't quite dark enough for my personal taste..but it was also on a 4 door car...maybe on one of our cars it will look darker

Will do, I've also got 25% all the way around too. So that might help.

Im really interested/curious about this. This isnt the first time Ive thought of doing it. In NJ we dont have any medical exemption so any tint on anything other than the rear windows is illegal but Ive had this car since end of Dec and tint done since beginning of Jan and never been pulled over for it. The best part is most of the cop cars around me all have 5% tint on all the windows. Luckily they havent gotten me cause Im sure I'd flip if a cop w/ 5% tint on his windows pulled me over for mine.

I have 20% all around and 50% on the windshield and have no problems with the auto lights.

If you want tint on your windshield, get it and enjoy it, don't worry about your lights

WHY wouldn't I do this?! haha

People can't see me from the sides or rear and they only get a silhouette of someone from the front of the car... like I said I have done this combo to my last 2 cars, my friends (TBSS, S/C Stang) both have it done... it's just how we like it
