Vince is working on that tune with another member, but you may not reap the benefits you might expect. There is less energy per gallon in ethanol, so you would need MORE fuel. I'm not sure the knock suppression will all you to put enough timing back in to make up for the overall energy loss when you get to the requirements for a FI application like yours. It would be interesting to try, though.

I'm following all these turbo builds with great interest. Maybe a dumb question from a novice and it's already been answered.
If running out of fuel at certain higher boost/HP levels and going lean, would a V8 fuel pump deliver the goods?

Ethanol will require 25% more fuel min so that won't work until the fuel upgrades are figured out. If this was a SS then you would just have to upgrade the injectors significantly and add a BAP or a twin-pump set-up and you are good-to-go.
Not an option on the V6 cars right now... Jeff |

Problem iswe don't know which pump is the problem. The V8 doesn't have the high-pressure pump so we can't do a swap there. I'm not sure if the V8 in-tank pump will work with our FCM, but it might.

This will all get worked out. Several cars have run into this issue (Mazda Speed 3, Cobalt) and found a way around it. We're just going to have to take a few lessons from those builds and try to modify them for this engine. In the mean time, it's fun to have a ~400 WHP that weighs less than a SS.

I don't have a gauge that will read >2000 psi, but evidently Vince can see the pressure in his logs. He's got the pressure up but it just fades at different points. You are right about the lines, and it is something we are going to try. It may simply be a volume issue and we have plenty of pressure from both pumps. Vince has widened up the injection duration as much as he can without it getting into the combustion phase.
