Best wheels I've seen on the Camaro, the slightly wider tires are also nice.

You need a more indifferent option. I'm not for or against it - I'd be happy to see more wheel options, but I would not be getting these wheels. Plus it would cost GM more money, which is something they don't need right now.

It wouldn't cost much as the design is already done. Just contract out the manufacture, add a markup and watch the money roll in. It's not quite that simple but it's close. GM could make a tidy profit if these were a $1k factory upgrade from standard 20's. I think they would work as part of an improved (and thus more expensive) RS package later on as well. The one thing GM can't do is stop spending money to make money, once a company takes that step it's dead. If the demand is there adding options that increase sales prices this should lead to increased net sales revenues on current products, and this is probably the best ways to make money in the short term.

That's just it though - they designed the wheel for one show car - not for hundreds or thousands of driven cars. And, they don't have any design as far as a manufacturing process - once again, they made one set of wheels only, for a car that wouldn't be driven around in any halfway normal way. I'm not saying they won't be able to at least break even in the long run, but they don't need the initial expense right now.

Someone at GM would have to run the numbers with what info they have and analyze things to see if it makes sense. If these wheels are something that would make a decent profit GM cannot afford to miss any opportunities right now. That it costs money is inconvenient but they have to keep spending money, it's just about spending it where they can make the best return. I do think minimizing by working something out with a 3rd party supplier would be a good option to explore for items like this though, it minimizes GM's expenses at an time that's particularly important and unlike the radio or door switches, etc it's something that the manufacturer can simply sell to the aftermarket themselves if GM can't maintain enough volume for whatever reason. (exclusivity clauses that expired at certain low volume levels could likely make both sides happy with the arrangement)

I love the LS7 wheels, but no way I'd pay $4,000 for them. I'd pay $1,200 as an option over stock wheels if they came with the 305's on the back also.

Although I like the wheels, I wouldn't want them on my Camaro. They look real close to the factory 20's on our Yuke! I don't want Yuke wheels on a Camaro, I want unique Camaro wheels. BOOYAH!

I'd much rather have the Camaro Convertible Concepts wheels.

I know, the whole point of this thread is whether you'd want them IF they made them and how much you'd pay for them.

I would get them ... I'm sure aftermarket companies will make replicas and they won't cost as much either ..

Very nice factory wheels that I would also upgrade to for under $1500 if they were wider in the rear.

Ok I've been lurking on here for a while, but I registered just so I could post in this thread. I love the LS7 wheels. I wouldn't pay $4,000 for the wheels, but if they were an option from the factory it would be alot easier for people to get them and it would make GM some extra money. GM needs to make these wheels available for purchase by the general public. Make them an $800 extra option on top of the RS package and GM would sell a lot more Camaros.
