This morning I went to the Springfield swap meet and car show. I just finished helping gahammerle with his shifter install (holding the flashlight & fetching tools). Soon I'lll be off to the new Jamestown cruise-in. Tomorrow is a family cook-out.

Thanks Heinz for the help! And my back especially thanks you! I would have been a sorry mess for the next few days if I had to do it laying on my back in the driveway.

The shifter is so much better than stock. It is very smooth and easy to shift quickly. It is a must-have for anyone that takes the car to the track or does any spirited driving. Even though the new shifter knob sits a little higher than stock, the shift is an inch shorter. Stock knob moved 3.25 inches 1st-2nd. The Barton moves 2.25.

I still prefer the feel and clicking of the Hurst. The pistol grip shifter made the Hurst much easier to use. Now that I have a better grip on it at least. The ball just sat too high for my liking.

Thats what happens when you try to build and tune a car that the software doenst exist for... If you want 400+ hp to the wheels... buy a freakin SS! Sorry V6ers... not hating I just dont get it...

I got my cut outs and installed them today. Time to scare the neighborhood kids!

Sold the 67 today too... Not to Happy Pappy. I am supposed to deliver it Saturday and get cash on delivery.

I hate to see it go but glad also.
Trifecta has done a pretty good job of tuning these cars, so the software does exist. There are several member running with the STS kit with no issues. The problem is that IPS is pushing the fuel system to its limits and its not working out in their favor. Going for 400+ is just pushing this engine too hard.
