that's a negative. i've seen multiple SS owners post about not liking the slot. has nothing to do with trying to look like a "sleeper".

Too bad the V6 Fascia doesn't provide adequate cooling or else the V8 would have had it too. I guess that is why they make those hideous mail slot fillers.

There are also numerous people saying how useless the Fog Light/DRL's on the ZL1 are and how there should be brake cooling ducts instead of 4 lights. For that one however I agree.

Yeah, you could be right, they don't like the fake slot, but did they actually swap it out for a V6 Camaro's fascia? I am sure someone will do it, again, for the sleep effect. Cosmetically, I wouldn't mind not having the fake slot but no way I would use the V6 front fascia though. If you look from the side, you can see where the V6 fascia slopes up whereas the SS fascia and square to the ground all way around. I have a feeling you are again trying to incite derogatory replies from SS owners as you have your cursor hovering over the "report post" button. MikeSS, what do you think?

Again, I said if you were stock. I also mentioned how, with all my mods, still paid less then your ss.

Not trying to get I a pissing contest here, just pointing out what one could do with the v6, and be plenty happy about it. And it's my daily driver...

Hi guys I bought a base level Camaro, why is nobody showing me any respect?

The reason is because your car, while it may have 312 HP and may beat out older V8's, is not a V8. The front fascia is feminine looking, and the exhaust note is not something that commands respect.

The SS has an aggressive stance to it and while people passing by may not know the difference between the two, as soon as you tell them it is a V6 you open yourself up for a bashing. I don't have anything against the V6 owners but you guys/gals, just like the V8 owners that act all high and mighty (as I am doing so now, kinda ironic huh) need to just shut up.

You bought a V6, for whatever reason (gas prices, didn't need a V8 or otherwise) so don't come here crying whenever someone makes fun of you for buying the lesser model. If you cared about what people would say you should have bought the V8 because as a rule, the base model is, exactly that a base and along with the options you chose for your car you also get base model respect. It's a cruel reality but that's what life is and you have to learn sooner or later.

Everyone has there opinions and the majority is going to say a V6 is nothing to brag about but if you are happy with your purchase that is all that should matter.

I got tried for the first time by an '04 Dodge Ram Hemi a few nights ago.....Light turned green, we took off, and I left it hahaha......So I'm sure he's gunna think twice going up against another "V6".....Compared to older V8's these new V6's have almost as much power as them, only they look alot better and come with the gift of 300+ horses AND up to 29mpg ....Enjoy it
