LOl i must say after reading this entire thread beginning to end, i have discovered some new and awesome things about my fellow mates, gotten some very good laughs, But for some reason or another the following had me rolling.

Dad wanted to get himself a brand new SS down here in Panama (C. America). I got my fully loaded (gfx, rs, ss, 21") in the US at MSRP back in Sept. for $43,989. Anyway we go down to the Chevy dealership and they have 3 SS sitting around. (Been there for a few months supposedly). All are A6 1SS. The cheapest one? $58,000. And you guys are complaining about markups in the US! "

I dont recall the years (early to mid 80's maybe) GM lost their freaking minds and stuck a 4 banger in the Camaro. A friend had one. It barely had enough power to run the AC. Maybe GM can create a 250 HP M6 4 cylinder so that the 6 cylinder peeps has someone to bash. Seems fair to me.

If it makes the sixers' feel any better, most C5 and C6 guys bash the SS Camaro. Although none will admit it. I have 5 Vette's under my belt, so trust me, the SS gets it's fair share of bashings too. To the guys who own fast cars, it's a big dick contest. To the guys that don't, it's jealousy!

And just to set the record straight, I got the v6 as I don't need a v8 for what I do and because I'm cheap

so true. i really cant wait tell the Zl1 owners show up. make things more interesting. its the same old v6 vs v8 thing now. wont mind a supercharged v8 added to the fight !

this is why we have problems on the forum. because we have so many camaro enthusiasts here that only believe in the v8, and wont have it any other way.

I did that at the dragstrip for years. No desire to do it on the street with my Camaro.

I guess I'm like your sister. My "other" cars cost alot more, but I just loved the looks of the aqua blue Camaro, and the c6 suits me jusssst fine.

yes and your camaro is a nice car, and nobody is talking down about it, just trying to explain why threads like this get out of hand. because you have a large population of people here who are camaro v8 enthusiast, and people who bought the car just to have a camaro. or to have a nice car on one forum. of course there is going to be problems. but normal problems
