It's simple association actually; a VW Beatle looks wimpy while a Lambo looks aggressive, high performance car's look aggressive while an economy car does not. It's the same basic principle for the different trims of a car. Provided they have differences in them.

If you consider the 18% drivetrain loss it's around 550 crank. So comperable to the ZL1 expected numbers after the 22 inch boat anchors are swapped out.

The cam install will get my 26 HP lost to the VVT back, plus the typical gain. I should be around 550 rwhp after that, which would be about 650 crank.

I'll put ZL1 LCAs and sway bars on my car too. With the Pedders coilovers and all the bushings and stuff that I have, I should be able to foot the power as well too.

come on guys, just because a few people here did that doesn't mean anything. there are thousands of camaros on the roads. the chances are extremely high that most of the camaros you will run into didn't mess with there badges or grills or what ever. chances are also very high that most camaros you will run into are stock also.

I thought the V6 Fascia didn't provide air through the bottom grill that is why GM scrapped it for the V8. So correct me if I'm wrong but I swear I saw someone post that in another thread a few months ago.

I think the main problem with V6 owners (myself included) is that we don't mind if people ask if its a V8, but we have a problem when people question what we bought and why.

It's a common occurrence among people who have that fantasy disorder in which they always drool over the biggest and the best cars, yet never own one themselves. You know who I'm talking about, those guys that only talk about Lambos and Ferraris and high end Lingenfelter Vettes. Those guys look at a V6 Camaro and think what a ***** version. Yet they never have the money, or the guts to buy one themselves. Or they're probably driving a Mustang V8 which has never been much of a pony/muscle car, always a bride's maid to the SS Camaro.

When I first put up pics of my Camaro on my facebook, one of my friends commented "Man it better be an SS."

It better be an SS? Or what? I'm going to die if it's not an SS? This is a friend of mine that has been driving a 1993 Mazda pickup for the last 10 years. Like I said, these are the people we have to deal with as V6 owners and it's really upsetting.

I quite like this post so I shall commend you on it hahaha, also I like what you have done with the front fascia, I know that makes me sound like a douche and this next statement is contradicting to my previous statements but that is an aggressive looking V6, loving the stripes and I really like the splitter (that is if I actually see one and my eyes aren't playing tricks on me)

Also it seems that, even though they will not admit it, many girls are in to the macho douchebag type, I have no idea why, it is a mystery to me or perhaps it's just my generation.

see heres is the thing that you are really missing though. yes some of the people who question your V6 probably do not drive as nice of a car. but i think they are trying to say is if they had 25k to drop on a car they would get something with more balls. like a used G8 or mustang v8. or even a 350z maybe a STI. those cars are more respectable in the world of performance and your car has the looks of a performance car. so people think its going to perform the way it looks.

its like me in my 30k camaro. asking a 200k Bentley owner why not a aston Martin or maybe a lambo. ? because i would much rather be driving a 150k lambo over a 200k Bentley.

Appreciated! You are correct, there is a Stillen splitter. One of the few splitters offered for us LT owners :(

And yes, women love douche nozzles. Come to California, there are is a girl (sometimes two) on the arm of every MMA, Tapout wannabe. Most of these women won't say it since they think by admitting their boyfriend is an idiot or a fraud they, by default, becomes idiots and or frauds. Which is entirely not true, we are all allowed our social mishaps.
