Long story short... test drive, don't know if saleman checked for insurance. Driver lost it, couldn't control car, swerved onto median, hopped on 16" sewer pipes, and wedged against tree. When they tried to remove car, it broke in the center from what I heard. Someone is getting fired. Now you know why cars cost less at Cutter...
Wow, I wonder if the salesman told the driver to punch it and he lost control. Vettes have so much power and very light weight that it doesnt surprise me that he lost control of the car. Guess its the salesman out of a job.

I spoke to leeward servco yrsterday about installing them. I told them if my light goes bad while under warranty they would have to break the seal to fix them. The service advisor told me "no we would just order the whole light component and switch them out. I guess that makes sense.

AAC is still interested if we get enough interest in them coming out here. Last I spoke to them (via) private message was we need a minimum of 10.

How about asking Kreature if he'll do it for $? I'll lend labor(work for food) and help remove bumper, but I would hate to try and split someone's headlamp assembly and screw it up. Much easier to remove bumper if front wheels are removed to access bolts behind fender liner.

Heard through grapevine salesperson may not have checked for insurance. I think Cutter is self insured. Not only was the car wrecked, but saw a stop sign bent. Not sure if this or other accident did it. Also, I doubt the contractor will be using those temp sewer pipes. Big screw up...

craig, if you really want to do your halos, i wouldnt mind helping you out for free but im a little hesitant on breaking the seal as i had to reheat mines 4 times before it finally came apart.

The install is way over my head, plus I dont have a garage to do the work. Long time ago, I think ACC had a certified shop on the islands, but it wasnt Oahu. Just thinking it would cost less to fly them over to Oahu for the installs versus flying mainland ACC techs to Oahu. Good question to ask ACC?

I havent checked, but I think there is a car show on saturday and sunday this weekend. I'm thinking Akai and Pearl City.

How many did we have the last time we put together a list earlier this year?

With more camaros on the streets, we might have a few more interested. I think the toughest part is finding a place for them to work from. I live in a condo so dont have a garage for them to do an install. Hopefully can make it happen sometime this year.

Dang, I slept too late and too sore to go to the Pearl City Car Show today. Did anyone go? I havent gone to that one yet.

Thanks Craig, maybe I should just go to Sig's, this is a list of shops from my insurance co. I need my passenger front fender repaired, actually I want it replaced, I don't want bondo on a brand new car.
While entering the PH nimitz gate this morning some idiot driving in the bike lane decides to merge into my legal lane but ends up hitting my pass. front tire and fender. They then decide not to stop but I got their plate number and filed a police report.

[QUOTE=TURBOJ;3307892]Can anyone recommend or have experience with any of the shops below?

CITY FENDER & BODY 859 QUEEN ST HONOLULU HI
OKAS AUTO BODY 94-173 LEOKANE ST WAIPAHU HI

City Fender helped me get out contractor's overspray on my 1990 Celica back in 91 when almost new. Not paint and bodywork, but owner was very cool and helpful with overspray removal.

Oka's repaired my rear bumper when I got rear-ended. Did a good job. Paint is good, but my car is black and car was only 6 months old

My Toy Tacoma just got hit after lunch today. Merc C55 AMG at a dead stop in traffic, pulled out suddenly and hit my front right bumper. Right on Ward Ave in front of the Merc dealer. Merc employees witnessed since they were in the car behind the Merc. Cursed since I ragged on the Vette driver...

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=147214

I'e been watchign hoping they get enough guys to sign up (50). This Colorshift 2.0 looks cool I am thinking of doing my Halos and fogs. If we can get enough guys we can do it at my house if we need a garage...and oven (since I don't bake much )

Colorshift 2.0... Niiiiiiice

So, it's been a while since I posted, between busy work and just being more active outside and all. A few things to throw out there so anyone interested can take into consideration.

I offered up a place to stay for AAC if they wanted to come out. That is still an option, as I've been lazy and haven't gotten any roommates yet. So if anyone talks to them (I can, but I haven't been very active on the car side lately) you can mention that or whatever. PM me if you are uncomfortable volunteering and I'll give you the permission one on one.

I don't have a garage to work from, but I do have 3 bedrooms open, full bathroom, large living room, kitchen, etc... so if they needed a place to crash, eat, sleep, wash, and do laundry, I have it covered. My only request is that in trade I'd like a great deal on halo's (free is considered a great deal!! lol)

Anyway, that's some of what I have to say. Those of you still on the forums, have a great week!

James
