TPW 3/28 Can it come any faster???

2011 2SS/RS Coupe
Imperial Blue Metallic
Automatic
Polished wheels

The color is proving to be a big part of the problem, since the metallics are currently unavailable.

go to chevrolet.com and 'build your own'. You can then enter your zip code and it will list all the similar cars in the area.

I just did it for grins, and it showed 6 different IBM 2SS/RS Coupes with automatic and polished wheels among many others.

I don't remember how far away this search goes, but Becky can do a much wider search.

Ask her, it can't hurt and it costs nothing.

Becky's looking for me. Hopefully, she will find something, but I did some searches in Michigan for kicks. Unfortunately, the ones I find didn't meet my needs. Most of them have sunroofs installed, which I am trying to avoid for both cost and head room. Most of the others their are two that are close, but they don't have black leather. I think there's one in GA that matches what I want. I know there are a couple in Texas. I'm working on it.

I'm not trying to be picky, but my big points are the colors, IBM and black leather, because I love the blue, and just personally don't care for the two tone seats. I also need it to be automatic, and no sunroof. That's it. Stripes, wheels, extra options, I can work with or around all of those. If anyone gets any leads, please let me know.

Wow, Blue, I don't know what I'd do in that situation. I've been reading your posts as well as I was waiting for my "lost" delivery before as well. Hopefully they can get something going for you, maybe make some kind of success story.

Any luck in your search for a replacement? Didn't find any around Central Illinois that were what you were looking for.
Hopefully you will find it. Aot of people don't understand how emotional the ordering process is and to go through what you have gone through.

Operator, thanks for checking in. I'll post a full story when this is all over with. As of today, there are two potential solutions on the table. The most likely is at a dealership just south of Cincinnati into KY. I had previously approached them about the vehicle, because online it appeared to be a dead match to what I ordered. The dealer had put black 22" wheels on it, which I didn't want, and wanted an extra $4,000 for them. GM talked to the dealer though, and convinced them to put the stock rims back on, and transfer the car to a local dealer. Hopefully, that will all happen, and I will be taking delivery next week.

As a second option, there is one in Texas that matches my specs. The only problem is that it is in Texas. If something comes up with the KY car, I'm hoping GM will pay transport expenses to get it up here. Either way, things are starting to move, and hopefully I will be driving soon.

As for what GM might do by way of an apology for all this mess that I have gone through, I haven't really heard yet, though I believe people are working on something. Thanks again for all your support, guys, it has helped more than you know.

Well, I hope they get you your car soon, BlueDragonVt. You will enjoy it for sure. My 2011 Camaro Convertible is the best car I've had since my 1975 Monza 2+2 (260CID V8). I just love driving it. Hope to see ya out on the road with yours someday!
